Hi all,

Did you encounter the problem with all VR on hot days? the fog on the lenses block your view?

I wanted to share my solution:

I have bought 1$ 25 mm 5V fan, and 1$ silicon tube.

I printed housing for the fan and inserted the tube into my Oculus.

That`s it! even when a sweat a lot my lenses are clear. cheep and simple solution!

Oh, I didn't see the tube. I just read "Silicon" and thought it was the adhesive.

Happened to me once, when I tried on my rift a few mins after exercising. The higher body temp caused the rift to fog up continuously. Once I'd cooled down, no fog issues.

Same happened to me, when I get home in a very cold day (true, the Rift is colder than your body). As you said, need to wait one or two minutes and the fog is gone.

me i sweat like a pig and need a full fan blowing on me or i cant see anything.

thank god this winter has been cold.

although i have actually missed the fan.. it adds to the immersion of being outside.

I can't believe this isn't a full blown retail product yet. It gets hot in there, and we all seem to be home brewing solutions. I like this solution.

Sorry, no cool signature here.

There is a Vive fan kickstarter. But it's because the Vive has a USB port built in at the top of the HMD. So a bit easier to setup.

This could be a thing for us in summer, it's like diving when the humidity and heat gets up.

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

Nice little solution. Probably works better as it's more direct, than just having a small fan like I'm using now.

This usually happens when the lenses are much cooler than body temperature (like after taking a hot shower). I just use a blow/hair dryer, on warm, and briefly warm up the lenses. Note - warm them up, not blowtorch them :) - Once you break the "cold" your body temp will warm them enough for no moist to build up.

Hi, no I didn't upload any YouTube movies with me in them.

In my case the fog occurred at summer because the hot weather make you sweat and warm up the temperature of your face so it's always warmer then lenses.

Sagil are you going to manufacture and sell them. I always seating so unless I’m in front of a fan blowing cold air my hmd fogs up.
