Been looking for a solution to be able to activate all the cockpit switches. Some are left click, some right, some middle, some drag, some scroll. You all know.

I mounted this pad in front of my throttle and am able to active everything. It’s great. So now I can use voice commands for dialogue interactions and the pad for physical interactions.

Interesting. Is that in lue of using a trackball or mouse?

Interesting. I have one of those in my 'old PC stuff storage' area. It has been years since it was hooked up.

I’m looking for the same solution.. I think to fix it just down of my monitor. In this way I have my hands on HOTAS and when I’ve got to move one switch I put my hand on it and I interact with the up/down position of the switch.

My question is: it is possible to interact correctly with rotating knobs just like the wheel of the mouse? Or it’s not precise to do this? If not.. have You any other touch pad suggestion?

You should be able to roll the mouse wheel with the correct input. The t650 is now very hard to find for a good price but there are other more affordable pads.

Copy! If it’s possibile to have any suggestion I’ll try them surely.. I would like to control cockpit only with HOTAS and clicking / moving the cockpit controls without touching my keyboard. I would like to use keyboard only for cameras, wiew, settings and so on..

It mounted to the throttle very easily with a piece of threaded rod and a few Velcro pads.

What kind of Chair is that? Are all those attachment points made into the chair? I like it.

I have two of these mounted in the places one would normally mount MFD’s, works great for VR interaction with the dashboard and right/left AUX panels. Feels natural and the tactile click from the T650 is a nice touch.

Not perfect by any means but it’s a nice temporary solution to hold me over as I start work on my more robust VR cockpit.

It’s 2 chairs. They were going to trash 2 expensive fully articulated chairs because they “broke”. So I took them and crafted them into 1 VR chair. Other than a couple of bolts everything is used from the original chairs.

At risk of being the thick one, how did you bend that stuff and get it screwed in the holes at each end. its an awesome idea and I want to emulate it

The 1/4” rod is secured to the throttle through the 2 mounting holes on the front of the base plate with a nut on top and one ont the bottom. The 2 nuts are tightened against the bas plate between them.

I bent the two top 90 degree bends first by drilling a hole through a 2x4 then inserting the rod into the hole and bending it . The 2x4 will give you a nice clean bend. Once the two top bens were in place forming a square horseshoe shape I drilled a second hole in the 2x4 so I could stick both ends of the horseshoe through the 2 holes at the same time and did a 30 degree(ish) bend so that both sides matched. A little tweaking and cutting the two ends so they were equal length and viola.

That's great thanks very much.

Really impressive using the track pad just need to make up the mount.
