Black_Hawk Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 What does 51 represent? It usually starts when I turn on my radar and it starts counting backwards from 200. At first I thought that it represented the range, but as you can see in the screenshot the actual distance from the target is much smaller. Then I thought that it's time until missile reaches target, but nooo, it ocasionally starts counting from a higher figure when it reaches say 50. :book: 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
pappavis Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 No idea what that is, besides, your trying to use a Kh-31A which no-way cant be employed by with human pilots in Lo-mac 1.1. Waaaay back in the days of Flanker 2.51 the Kh-31A and Kh-31P was kaunchable by a human pilot but not anymore. The only antiship missile available for a human pilot in Lo-mac is the Kh-58 on a Su-25T. met vriendelijke groet, Михель "умный, спортсмен, комсомолетс" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SPECS: i9-9900K 32gigs RAM, Geforce 2070RTX, Creative XFi Fata1ity, TIR5, Valve Index & HP Reverb, HOTAS Warthog, Logitech G933 Headset, 10Tb storage.
Black_Hawk Posted March 24, 2007 Author Posted March 24, 2007 Oh, I forgot to mention that it also happens with Kh-41 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team

Black_Hawk Posted March 25, 2007 Author Posted March 25, 2007 I don't have my HUD in russian and yeah, it's strange to see a cyrillic letter every now and then :D 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
Aeroscout Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I dont think it means anything. If I ever use the Kh-41, i just wait till i'm inrange, then fire. It usually doesn't matter anyway. The enemies SAMs usually get it. My point is, don't worry about it. DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
Ironhand Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 What does 51 represent? I believe that number represents the estimated time of flight--at least for the Kh-41 it does. Been quite awhile since I've been in the -33's cockpit. Black_Hawk Posted March 25, 2007 Author Posted March 25, 2007 I also thought that, but at certain point it increases from say 45 to 75 and continues counting backwards. Can the missile actually have different engine burning time? (I mean in LO) I'll do some testing tonight and I'll get back to you with my results. 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team

thesystem Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Kh-58 is a anti radar missile? Yeah almost every combat ship has a radar.....but then you could also use the other anti radar missile like the Kh-25P..... And the Kh-41 then...?:music_whistling: DCS World, A10C, AV8B, M2k, FA18C, FC3, MIG21
Force_Feedback Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Just use the Kh-15 ;) Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
504smudge Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 yeah i know you can use a Kh-58 against a ship but you can also use the Kh-41 on the SU33 Eagles may soar but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. https://www.youtube.com/user/504smudge https://www.facebook.com/504smudge

Aeroscout Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Just a quick question. How do you lead a sucessfull attack against a ship protected by lots of SAMs, like the Ticonderoga? That is, without the Kh-41. Force_Feedback Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Fly very, very low, under 5 meters, use alt hold, pop-up, fire your rockets/bombs pray the CIWS went dead. You also can set up a lonely Vinnie, make it hostile, and come in for a landing in your su-33, just remember that Mr Phalanx doesn't like you. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:

D-Scythe Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Realistically, you shouldn't be able to sink a Ticonderoga or any other SAM ship unless you work as a team. Right now, Ticos are sitting ducks.
Aeroscout Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Ok. I cant really get close to the Tico. But Ok, 5 meters is a bit low though.
