As in the title. If you approach a normal waypoint and squeeze the weapon release, everything works. However if you designate a waypoint as an "M" waypoint, when you squeeze the weapon release it will not drop the bombs and will change the HUD to NAV mode.

In release, I don't have this bug, but I'll try again to see if I'm not wrong

I have this in the interdiction instant mission. Couldn't figure out why bombs aren't dropping.

Got that too.

Was doing the Offensive Counter Air instant action mission, and if the waypoint #2 was a target one (what it is by default), trying to realease the HighDrags would just switch to the landing airport waypoint.

I switch it to standard waypoint and I was able to release my payload.

Wow, such landing, much no gear, so slide...

Aren't high drag bombs dropped in CCIP which is totally independent of waypoints?

I tried it yesterday in the beta and it worked fine. I also don't understand how weapon release in this mode should be affected by the waypoint in any way? This mode is entirely independend of waypoints.

I just found this thread...The problem it not fixed

I tried to drop hi drag bombs today on beta and could not drop them at M waypoint in NAV mode..

Was driving me crazy trying to figure out what I was doing wrong...

The bombs would not drop so I would circle around to try again and then notice that the way point had change to L1, even though I had made sure to change the CK dial from the setting that automatically changes the way to next waypoint when you fly over the current waypoint.

On about the sixth attempt some of them did release, but not all. There is definitely something wrong here.

Make sure the next waypoint after the target waypoint is NOT a landing waypoint as this would not be the case IRL as well.

Fixed! Here’s what happened:

1) Upon first implementing this mode I apparently coded so release would be disallowed on L, LS, UP and so on waypoints. Don’t know why, probably brain fart. The code didn’t function though so release was allowed anyway.

2) Running static analysis years later revealed that the disallowing was not functioning so I “fixed” it.

3) Now when overflying a target it would automatically switch to next waypoint since you are in NAV-mode but if the next waypoint was L-waypoint the release was disallowed.

Anyway fixed in internal version and will be in next release or the one after that.
