What will you break in the next update on Wednesday?

Why did you spent time on adding a new graphics effect while ignoring other graphical bugs?

Do you intentionally leave some bugs and wait for people to complain, and when they complain you then promise to fix them aka "Bug is reported"?

So many things get broken with every update, do you test the updates before releasing it?

Get more testers.

Now, people who have bought the new map and the F/A-18C, are forced to have Open Beta which gets worse with every update. Telling them to use the release version, while they paid, while Open Beta is getting worse with every update, is not really fair.

And here is a video to congratulate on this new rain effect that was much much much much much much needed.

Thanks for your attention.

I have the choice between stable and beta and i choose beta to enjoy the most current build, it seems you are expecting a beta release to be bug free which is not the way the release of beta builds works, surely you are aware of that, I think the beta in its current state is pretty awesome albeit a few bugs (to be expected) here and there.

I am in OB since 2.5 was released in January. I am well aware of what what it was at the begin and what it is now. TGP and Shkval are still broken, take these two things and they are officially "fixed". In 2.5 they were pretty good, in 2.5.1 they got broken, then they fix them partially and leave them in a worse that than what they were in 2.5. Now you are telling me I have some expectations of bug free...

Firstly, Eagle Dynamics is a business and must make a profit in order to survive and pay its employees. I don’t blame them for wanting to get the new map and F/A-18 our the door, these two modules will turn a massive profit for them and help them stay afloat so that they can focus on the bugs in the free DCS overhead. Secondly, both Persian Gulf and the F/A-18C are early-access alphas/betas. I don’t know why you would ever expect them to release on the stable build and not open beta considering this, and considering that it has never been done that way.

Beta means bugs, it's far from ideal but it's to be expected. The size that DCS and its modules have expanded to have made in house bug tracking impossible which is why the Open Beta exists. We are the testing team.

Waiting for bug fixes is frustrating, everyone feels the same, but with such a small dev team the fixes actually come out fairly quickly.

I feel frustrated alot with DCS, but it's DCS or nothing, there are no other modern aircraft/combat sims out there. I've just learned to be more patient and so will you. I'm afraid that's all we can do.

No one is forced to use the beta to be able to play on the Persian Gulf map or to fly the Hornet. You just have to wait for their actual release which has not happened. The alternative would be no Open Beta, so everyone has to wait longer, even the people that don't mind bugs and would like to play earlier even if the product is not finished.

Still no answers.

You don't really expect ED to waste their time to deal with these ridiculous and provoking questions?

^ I wouldn't mind getting some answers, but hanging around here a bit longer, I know I won't get any.

And to all the White Knights defending the developer without second thought (or even reading the OP twice to get what his actual point is), part of his inquiry applies to release branch as well... unfortunately.

Can I just ask - would you rather have the devs go back and fix all the bugs in the release version, running out of cash in the process, as bug fixes don't generate revenue, and going bust? Or would you rather they focus their limited resources on revenue generating projects, so that the business can survive to fix bugs another day and release new modules ?

Given the niche that we find ourselves in, this really is the choice they have to make. I'm sure they realize that updates to both the stable and beta modules are introducing bugs into older modules, but reallocating resources away from the revenue generating modules to fix these just can't be done right now.

DCS is a journey, not a destination.

Can I suggest focusing on another module while the bugs in the su25t are ironed out?

BTW, I don't consider myself a white knight - just a realist who loves virtual aviation.

It is like asking the sun to set in the east.

What do you mean? Most modules have already been officially released. There are just very few modules in Early Access release at the moment.
