Hey guys,

So I recently got a new computer and I would have thought my FPS would be slightly higher...

The rig is a i7 8700k with 16gb ram, (overclocked) and a msi 1080ti gaming x. My. Monitor is the Samsung ultrawide 3840x1080 49" monitor.

Running settings on high with ssao I think on 1.5 and few other things I'm getting maybe 50-70 FPS in the f18... I haven't really tried other planes yet w the new rig.

I know ssao at 2x dropped my FPS to like 25... There are some tweaks you can do... Can anyone give me some suggestions or a guide? I see people running at 100 plus in 1440 etc... Mine is a 3840 but still a 1080.

Thanks!

I have almost your same configuration, but i play on a 4K 60HZ monitor and i have 32gb of RAM.

I fly with all settings to max, unless for MSAA 2x, no SSAA, no Depth of field. I'm having 40 to 60 FPS in F-18, sometimes down to lower 30 when there are a lot of stuff on the screen.

I think 50-70FPS with 3840x1080 resolution is what you should expect.

try all on max, ssaa-1.5x, 16x-aaf, full shadows, full everything but no DOF and no LENS effects and 1024 (not every frame ) mfd setting.

that should give you no less than 50ish fps lowest and >100max.

for F2+F3 view iirc. They are not meant to be used for gaming but for taking video shots

I spent a lot of money to upgrade my rig to run @1080p 60fps with high settings, but sadly I need to disable some features like terrain shadows or grass to reach this performance.

Whoa! I thought lens flare setting controls only... lens flare :D. So I had it off like I always do in all my games, while wondering at the same time when the ED is going to "fix" the ugly, post-2.1 sun.

That's is a major discovery for me (and one more reason to trust ED options description even less). Thanks!
