A New OLD Mission Is Back!

 

Operation: Whispers & Whistles

 

* Mission lasts for 4 hours.

* Updated, fixed and added some changes.

* Allows Harriers to take off from the carrier.

* The mission is almost 4 years old and was taken out of the rotation due to bugs in it.

 

* Will be online tonight around 2030 zulu, after operation Chaos.

Exclusively flew helicopter missions on this old but new mission evening last. Thank you very much for bringing it back Alpenwolf. Plenty of people on the server and a good mix of participants. From a helicopter point of view the close proximity of each others farps meant for some fast and furious engagements, great stuff. I managed to make good use of the M and Mistral variants of the Gazelle a great bonus for me.

Haven't been able to connect to the server, my ping is usually less than 50 and this evening been around 500! Doesn't show anybody on either is there something kaput?

Hey, Alpen. Thanks for adding a road base on 'when the mountains cry'. There's just one problem with it: the trees at the north end. These trees are in the way when you land and take off. You can work around it by only landing south to north, and taking off north to south, but if you could remove them that'd be great.

With regards to SRS, were there particular frequencies we are meant to use? I don't think I saw anything mentioned in the mission briefs.

usually the freqs for the radio (awacs) is 251mhz on blue and Ch0 on red

 

 

 

regarding the SRS enforcing:

you need to parse the list from the clients on DCS and SRS and check if there are users in DCS which are not in SRS

 

SRS supplies you the following:

Outputs JSON every 30 seconds to clients-list.json. This can be used to show what users are connected to the server on a separate webpage or app.

In the briefing for Persian Gulf mission the freq is listed as if I remember correctly 215mhz not 251mhz, Viggen pilots were asking if AWACS was down.

I guess, I'd have to reinstall the game and add LotATC to it from scratch. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what would. The dedicated servers are a bit different. However, I'd hate to do that during the evening or at night (when I'm home), because folks wanna fly.
