[FIXED INTERNALLY] Flashing X on Radar Page, Left DDI

UPDATE: with track file attached (from the Instant Action AIM 9 and AA Guns mission)

 

 

As of Open Beta, yesterday:

 

For in-flight starts, default cockpit set-up places the radar page on the right DDI. If you shift this page over to the left DDI, you get a flashing X on the radar page, even if radar page is first deselected on the right DDI.

 

Problem does not seem to manifest for cold starts.

The radar page has always been on the right side by default. Also is how its normally operated IRL afaik.

 

Though it might be a bug what you are reporting

I would check and see if your radar altimeter is on as that seems to sometimes cause that.

This one has been there for a while and reported a few times. Happens during cold start too. Can be cleared by cycling right generator, although I have no idea why.

Rainmaker, cycling the right generator used to clear the condition, but it does not seem to do so anymore. Also, curious that Nineline is not classifying the post as "already reported."

Thanks for the track. I played your track in our current, internal version and there is no Break X. So, it appears to have already been resolved internally. Please check again after the next update.

Bump. Seems the bug is still valid.

 

Fastest way to reproduce: Jump in Instant Action, „ BFM vs MiG21“.

Shift radar from right to left DDI and you‘ll get the „X“.

No prob in that state - but how is it with hot on ramp?

 

As I do not have access to DCS for some days:

I had it with a cold start the other day, in latest OB.

Im not a 100% sure of my procedure, will need to check that later today or tonight, but I think I didnt switch the radar on, until I was airborne. That being it was Off (not standby), and I might have been on the left DDI radar page, when I switched the radar to standby, and then on. But as said, Im a little uncertain.

Hadnt seen it reported as fixed, so gave it little thought, until I saw the thread just now.

To reproduce:

-start plane cold (dont touch the radar switch)

-takeoff

-switch left DDI to radar (radar remained in off state)

-flashing X appear

-turn on radar

-flashing X dont disappear

-switch ddi screen

-switch ddi screen back to radar, flashing X disappear
