In the general settings can I set the metrics units instead the imperial by default. I want to set this to keep my setting in metric without change it every time

Unfortunately, I have to manually change the units to metric every time. I would like it to be saved and I would not have to set it in the options every time.

It should work. Open your "Saved Games/DCS.../Config/options.lua" file, and look for a line which starts with ["units"]

Do you read "metric" or "imperial"? If you read "imperial", manually change it to "metric":

		["units"] = "metric",

Save the file, then start the game. Does it still says "Imperial"?

I think you misunderstand what @Mentos is asking for, the NS430 defaults to Imperial units and there is no way to save NS430 user settings/preferences between flights.

The NS430 does not take into account DCS's Options>Gameplay units configuration.

Here I have chosen Metric and the L-39 is using Metric instruments (as is the F10 map's ruler, etc.). However the NS430 uses knots, nautical miles and feet until changed via NS430's in game Aux > Units page.

I think I found it:

  1. Set your settings in the AUX -> Units Mag Var.
  2. Click CLR to get back to AUX menu.
  3. Click MENU: you'll get a "Save Settings / Load Settings" menu.
  4. Select "Save Settings" and click ENT.

I did that, exited DCS, then restarted it, and it kept my settings.

Did you managed to find where those settings are saved?

Found it: "Saved Games\DCS...\Config\NS430.conf".

It seems to be created as soon as the default settings are changed.

NS430.conf
