berk.kp Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 If I choose a single rocket pod, it should be attached directly to the pylon, not via an adapter.
Papa Spardy Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 A single rocket pod would be attached to the bru-32. You can't attach any ordnance like that directly to the pylon. I agree though. No reason a single rocket pod would be loaded on a bru-33
Frederf Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 While it may be physically possible to mount the LAU to the pylon via a single bomb rack it might not be authorized to fire in that config. I can't find any example of any launcher not connected via the twin rack adapter.
SkateZilla Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 (edited) When Loading Single LAU Pods, they are Attached to SUU via BRU-33 . This is Correct. Currently when loading single LAU pods are not attached via BRU-32, they are attached on BRU-33 double racks Asus z170i pro gaming MB / i7-6700K OC 4.5Ghz / Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 8GD / Ram 16gb DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz / SSD 500Gb / Oculus Rift S

BRU-32 is embedded into the SUU, But LAU Pods are not Directly Attached to them. Papa Spardy Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 As Frederf pointed out I was unable to find one picture of a single pod loaded on a bru-32 they are all loaded on 33/55's

SkateZilla Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 They should at least be placed symmetrically then The weight is symmetrical, the same amount of weight is attached to the BRU33/55, which is attached to the opposing SUUs The Drag is slightly offset by less than 1%, Easily Trimmed. Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
Frederf Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 The weight is not symmetrical. They are different moment arms. It might be that the BRU-33 doesn't have a left and right version or setting for release order. While it might be easy to connect the rocket firing connection to either side there is still the jettison release. I'd be a little surprised though if for example you put 4 bombs on a pair of BRU-33 racks that there isn't some way to get them to release outer-inner and not asymmetrically.
