amalahama Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Question, is it wind corrected? In the presence of wind, the ASL should NOT cross the target box, otherwise the (dumb) bomb will never hit the target
Harlikwin Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 So, in the real plane it should be wind corrected either by the ARBS if in a dive past a certain number of degrees, or by the INS wind drift calculation. Similarly moving targets should also be "led" again if in a Dive by the ARBS since it treats ground movement as a type of crosswind. I'm actually not sure if this modeled right now in game. I have engaged movers with IR mavs, and then with cluster muntitions, both of which worked fine, but I haven't tried it with a Mk82. Or with wind yet. gulredrel Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 Updated my stable version yesterday. A pleasure to have a stable stearing line.
Fri13 Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 So, in the real plane it should be wind corrected either by the ARBS if in a dive past a certain number of degrees, or by the INS wind drift calculation. Similarly moving targets should also be "led" again if in a Dive by the ARBS since it treats ground movement as a type of crosswind. Need to check that. Today started a mission In Air with fairly heavy sidewind, got the TVVI to show the drift because wind and then few seconds later it was corrected that I didn't see it anymore at all and I forgot it all about. Seemed to work that all bombs dropped correctly. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
