fjacobsen Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 Is it possible to change the range on the MFD radar page when a target is locked ?. Seems the range change arrows are removed once a target has been locked. If not, then I would expect the range to automatically change as the target gets closer or moves away. | i7-10700K 3.8-5.1Ghz | 64GB RAM | RTX 4070 12GB | 1x1TB M.2. NVMe SSD | 1x2TB M.2. Svend_Dellepude Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 Seems like WIP. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.
Manuel_108 Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 If not, then I would expect the range to automatically change as the target gets closer or moves away. That‘s exactly what happens in real life in STT. Target stays in the 40-90% area of the tactical radar display. WIP indeed.
beppe_goodoldrebel Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 It doesnt even make sense when in STT. I think we will see something when TWS will be introduced.
fjacobsen Posted August 15, 2018 Author Posted August 15, 2018 STT is mandatory for the AIM-7, while TWS can be used with the AIM-120. | i7-10700K 3.8-5.1Ghz | 64GB RAM | RTX 4070 12GB | 1x1TB M.2. Eldur Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 I can't change the radar range as well without target locked since without a lock it automatically jumps into FLOOD or VISUAL mode which I can't switch off by uncaging unless I have something locked and that ACM is boxed. As soon as I untick that, I have control again.
IvanK Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 STT is mandatory for the AIM-7, while TWS can be used with the AIM-120. You can attempt an AIM 7 launch in TWS on the L&S target. Radar will attempt to go STT on trigger press.
