Is it possible to change the range on the MFD radar page when a target is locked ?.

Seems the range change arrows are removed once a target has been locked.

If not, then I would expect the range to automatically change as the target gets closer or moves away.

That‘s exactly what happens in real life in STT. Target stays in the 40-90% area of the tactical radar display. WIP indeed.

STT is mandatory for the AIM-7, while TWS can be used with the AIM-120.

I can't change the radar range as well without target locked since without a lock it automatically jumps into FLOOD or VISUAL mode which I can't switch off by uncaging unless I have something locked and that ACM is boxed. As soon as I untick that, I have control again.

You can attempt an AIM 7 launch in TWS on the L&S target. Radar will attempt to go STT on trigger press.
