Hey gang,

So I decided to download the newer VPC Configurator Light tool to give me maybe some more configuration options for my Mongoos T-50 stick.

I opened the configurator, and now it appears my stick does nothing.

I get a Not Sync message at upper left, and across the top a " Version Not Supported" message. Thinking the firmware just needs to be updated, clicking the Open Firmware Update button does nothing either.

Down at the bottom in red is a " reset to factory default" and it does nothing either.

Currently stick does nothing and I can't seem to even start the firmware update process.

What am I missing?

Well that was impressive!

So already have heard back from support ( I assume Cyph3r), connected to my PC with TeamViewer and already has me all sorted !

Everything working great now with latest software, and this on a Saturday!

Can not beat that support!!

Now to dig into the new features with the software.

Thanks Cyph3r, as much as I come off like a grumpy ole man, I am appreciative of the support you give.

Yes. What was the solution?

Well in my case I really have no idea, Cyph3r did it all via TeamViewer and while I saw what he was doing it was so fast I really could not grasp what he did.

Hi guys!

I'm in the process of writing up an in-depth guide for the VPC Software which should answer any questions.

Basically when using the VPC Software you have to work in 3 defined stages:

1. Always start by clicking "Step 1. Load Device Profile".

2. You can now many any changes to the device settings.

3. Always commit these changes to the VPC device by clicking "Step 3. Save Device Profile".

I somehow managed to stumble through getting it to work again after thinking that I had corrupted my eeprom, but it's all good again. A little guide would be nice to have.

Give me a few to get teamviewer loaded and I'll email the info.

Edit: Cyph3r took a look for me, about 5 minutes after I posted the original message. Turns out everything was fine, I was having a brain cramp. Thanks again Cyph3r for your help!

Cyp3er which version of teh software is the latest?

a) VPC-Configurator_Light_20180807_96b

b) VPC-Configurator_Light_20180807

I use a) because it's already got profiles for switching/shift states and I am too lazy to make them myself ;)

Hi Cyph3r,

I updated my MongoosT-50 to the new firmware (20180807) a couple of weeks ago, .. but, noticed that it was now referred to as a VPC Flightstick, .. and not VPC MongoosT-50 .. ?

.. knowing that this was probably going to cause some issues with configs etc., .. I decided to roll back to the 20180101 firmware. The VPC software recognized it as a MongoosT-50 again, .. but, I had to delete the additional identifier in the Windows registry, for Windows to recognize it as a MongoosT-50 again.

So, .. what was the reason or logic behind the name change?

Oh, .. and aside from updating the firmware, in order to use the new software, .. is/was there any other reason to update the Firmware?

Cheers

Tom

Can anyone post the solution to this issue? I'm having the same problem. I have opened a ticket. Throttle detects fine, but the stick doesn't (VPC_Configurator_Light_20180828 )

Load profile first then do firmware update then calibration then save

The profile won’t load. The button doesn’t do anything, see the original post in this thread. So I can’t update firmware for the joystick.

DO NOT try to load a Profile ..

You need to update the Firmware first, .. you cannot load a profile if the Firmware is not up to date, .. and thus, .. version compatible.

(N.B.: Make sure the Firmware file path is correct .. !!!!! )

Once the Firmware update is complete, .. you need to Import a Profile, .. and one that matches your setup .. e.g. VPC MT50 + MT50 ... if you use the T-50 Base with the T-50 Stick

Good Luck .. :)

Cheers
