Yep. Just start the free Trial and apply for a NonCommercial License. You get it for free.

It sure will. I'll need to complete the CAD work for all front panels before I print anything more. I have a modular frame idea in mind that will hold an arbitrary set of modules. Once all panels are complete I can get a feel for how the panels attach to the rear frame. Printing will then begin.

awesome work, cant wait to see it printed!. gonna be a long print by looks

It's the startup license you need.

Thanks for the tips. I saw student, startup and paid but not non-commercial licensing.

Hi,

The Master Arm panel is complete. As with all panels, I'll design the back side once I start on the rear frame.

Hi, I get a good grip from the hex nuts, they slightly bite into the plastic locking the switch in.

Yes I've modeled everything except the screws.

how are you locking the switches in the frame, push fit clip?, and did you model those switches?

looking great

@Blue73 If you don't mind me asking, how do you opt to organize all of your components/bodies/sketches in Fusion 360 for such a large project? I struggle with this aspect as my projects grow.

Hi Razi,

I have a master design file that I link all my other design files. So there's one for each major component. As it's linked an update on a component is also updated on the master. All common objects like switches/push buttons, knobs are also all linked from smaller design files. There's allot of linking :)

cheers

Blue, as always: You are showing us master pieces! Love them!

Concering model organization:

Are you designing every switch, button, rotary from scratch or are you using external part-libraries?

Thanks RightStuff!

Yes all those are from scratch. I visit my local electronics store, buy what is available to me, and it's action feels right then model it in F360. I'd done this months ago so now I'm just pulling the components from my own library. Only the screws aren't mine.

Hi All, IR Cool Switch/HMD/Spin Recovery is complete. Provisions have been made for inserting a LED for the SPIN indicator.

Thanks. I've got 10 days leave coming up, I hope to have most of the CAD work complete by the end.

Just keeps on getting better and better! Great job!

Hey man, cool to see you making so much progress! Any reason why you modelled the emergency jettison and the spin recovery switch in yellow?

Hi Nanne! Thank you, spent all weekend getting it to this point, back at work today...

The yellow doesn't mean anything, just breaking up the grey.

cheers

Hi Blue,

Great job again ! I have some problems with my circuit... doesnt work... is the capacitor and resistance is an obligation ? 10 uf thats right ?

Thanks!

The cap and resistor aren't absolutely required but it does help. I would insert the cap just in-case you've got allot of noise on your supply rails. 10uF should be okay. Can you draw me a circuit diagram?

cheers
