No idea. I imagine it has to go through an external hook, similar to how SRS can read some of these parameters and indications.

It's really limiting for MP Campaign / Mission designers... Grrrrr

@Cykingit's

VHF_FM_FREQ

VHF_AM_FREQ

UHF_FREQ

I used DCS-BIOS to get the parameters.  Pretty cool program.

It is me again, I tried to play around with the DCS-BIOS, but not sure if make it right. I did not find, what i was looking for. Right now, I am searching the parameter for the UH-1 Nav Radio? Anybody knows?

thx for the Feedback. The document I know already, sadly you do not have the parameters for "Cockpit Parameter Equal To:" in it.

But no worries, as often in the Mission Editor I need to find a workaround. Checking this parameter would be such an easy way to make sure the player will hear the audio file at the right time.

Is there an equivalent for RPM in the Hornet? I wanna have a trigger set when the engines idle at 65rpm. For the life of me, I can't find the file for the rpm indications. It's not in mainpanel_init.lua

there is no parameter for rpm on the hornet, but you can read the rpm from the IFEI indicator:

Yeah just found out, if you use, "X: Cockpit Indication Text Is Equal To" you can use the text in the rpm it self to be a Trigger. Just set the

             INDICATOR ID=5

             ELEM NAME=txt_RPM_(L or R)

             VALUE=(enter rpm number)

And you can use whatever rpm number to Trigger an action

Ok everyone. Now how about the Apache? I am trying the usual

UHF_FREQ

VHF_FREQ

But I am not getting any job with trigger activation. I am hoping someone on the previous posts will be able to figure this one out?

@Gunnar81, they are:

COMM1_FREQ
VHF_AM_FREQ
FM1_FREQ
FM2_FREQ

Would be great if these values could be published in each aircraft's manual.. hint hint, ED 😉

Sedlo, again you are a genius. I scoured, or thought I did, through the .lua files and didn't find anything for the UHF being related to COMM1_FREQ. Thanks again, you saved the day.

No worry.  I don’t think it’s even in the .lua files.  I use DCS BIOS to find the cockpit parameters for this kinda stuff.  It’s a really cool program for finding parameters and indications.

can be a bit tricky to set up, but once it is it’s good.

Any idea for the MiG-21 ? Tried a lot of combinations without success!

The 21 has no parameter with the radio frequency, but you can check the Drawing argument for the radio preset selector knob: 211

for example the condition "X:COCKPIT ARGUMENT IN RANGE, 211, 0.248, 0.252" will be true when Preset 5 is selected, as there are 20 presets: 0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, etc.

Ok been trying to figure this out for 3 days without any luck, closest thing I found to the params named in this thread for the Kiowa radio 5 is "VFM2_Radio"... could that be it or I'm definitely looking for "Freq"?

Sorry, can’t help with this because I don’t have the Kiowa 😞

Is there a cockpit param on the F-18C for the KY-58 power select knob and the mode knob? What I'm trying to do is once the KY-58 is powered up, turn on a flag, mode knob goes into cypher, turn on a flag. Once both flags are true, have a sound play for a radio check. Also, is there a place to find these cockpit parameters, a list or something?

I think you'll need to use "cockpit argument in range" for those.  Use clickabledata.lua in your mods/aircraft/cockpit/scripts folder and the model viewer to see the values.

DCS-BIOS is what I use to get the parameters with.
