Is there somewhere some simple list for HOTAS commands in different screens. Dont need targed pods etc, but specially that HSI.. Can I control it, mostly CHANGE WAYPOINT with hotas in DCS? Somekind of simple listing "HOTAS commands in F/A-18C (DCS) sensors / displays". OFC i can bind the buttons itself, and have done that what comes to for example TWS "auto/man" button.

It's not Viper. Hornet needs a lot of DDI clicking. You can't interact with HSI with HOTAS.

In real world, yes... But in DCS, I have nearly every single radar function mapped to my HOTAS. I have, in the past, mapped the OSB for "Step" on the SA page as well. If one gets creative, (and drops some cash on TM or Winwing MFD/DDIs) there's no need to ever touch the mouse again.

It wasn't the question.

I'd recommend finding a good guide/checklist to put on your kneeboard. I'd recommend this one, which details procedures for all major phases of flight, as well as all of the HOTAS functions. It is a handy reference, especially if you bounce types from aircraft to aircraft. After a while most of the HOTAS functions become muscle memory, but it doesn't hurt to be able to pull up a simple guide if your memory fails you.

UMH it doenst work for me, do you mean it should work as in the F15C in DCS?

If I move the TDC cursor to 12'o clock direction it doesnt change the radar scale, if it's set to 20 it will stay at 20, the only way I can change the scale with the TDC is by placing the cursor above the up/down arrow on the upper left part of DDI and press "lock" , thne the scale will change.

You need to "bump" the TDC to the upper/lower edge of the DDI for range, and left/right edge for scan azimuth change. Same goes to SA range change. And if you change the SA range, HSI range changes with it, so indircetly you can change that too.

Context sensitive HOTAS functions you can find both in DCS manual (searching for "HOTAS CONTROL" or for the button names) or in Chuck's F/A-18 Guide.

Thank you for these! Yeah. It will go with binds. THOUGH there was some controls in the radar I did not know one can do, like TDC in the top of Scanzone (xxx degrees) brings up menu where on can pick scanzone (Degrees) of choise. ED should really put this to waypoints also, in HSI. (Or at least I havent managed to change em in that way). But yeah, it is not a hard job to bind em in different buttons. (and still i have the scanzone also bind, though found that one mentioned.. , it is not fast enough for me.. (because I am so fast ;D NOT) Have a very nice weekend everyone.

What comes to F-16 it is very nice to pick up displays of choise and change the display but after that mostly : "10 then goto bind buttons" ,)
