Redglyph Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 DCS 2.5.3.24984 At certain angles, the image becomes much more brighter, which gives an impression of "flash" when rotating the view from outside (F2 view). Screenshots taken from the MiG-29 quick mission "Cold Start", 100% reproductible: - start the quick mission - F2 for external view - rotate around the aircraft Two screenshots in attachment to illustrate the bug, taken a couple of seconds apart from the same mission as described above. From most angles, the brightness is like the 1st screenshot, and in a small range it looks like the 2nd screenshot. I can't attach my settings because they're already in another thread, here is the link to the screenshot: https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=199538&d=1544353868 System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
Redglyph Posted December 31, 2018 Author Posted December 31, 2018 Anyone else had this problem? It's actually happening quite often, no matter which module. System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
Nero.ger Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 wow and i allways thought it was my shitty screen  'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.

Redglyph Posted January 2, 2019 Author Posted January 2, 2019 yeah it happens to me as well, just a quetion: are you using reshade? No, just plain DCS. System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
Nealius Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 It happens to me as well. Also at various zoom levels from the same angle.
Redglyph Posted March 14, 2020 Author Posted March 14, 2020 The bug is still there. I also see it with the Yak-52 training mission (take-off). When the Yak-52 is aligned on the runway, use F2 for external view, and rotate around the aircraft, there are angles that cause this black flashing screen. Any chance we get some feedback? It's been 1 year and a half... System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
dorianR666 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 same here it seems to be happening when sun is close to horizon. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X GPU: AMD RX 580

Screenshots taken from the MiG-29 quick mission "Cold Start", 100% reproductible: - start the quick mission - F2 for external view - rotate around the aircraft Definitely, I was hoping they'd have sorted this out by now. Clouds seem to make it happen, it doesn't do it with a completely clear sky (or maybe it does now!!) I've noticed this a lot in my WW2 "furball" missions because I like the external views over Normandy. Doesn't happen inside the plane, but happens *all the time* in external views, and that sux. C'mon ED iron this one out! :) Maybe the new cloud system will fix it, if it ever gets released... Redglyph Posted May 23, 2020 Author Posted May 23, 2020 Right, I forgot about this one. And as usual, not reported... I'll probably have to make another thread for them to see it.
