suntrace1 Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Apparently nVidia took notice and repaired their drivers for LOMAC. I wouldn't know, since I always owned ATI :P , but you can take a look and find out for yourself's if it's true. Drivers on Guru 3D http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1667 Release notes from nVidia http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/162.15/162.15_Win_XP_ForceWare_Release_Notes.pdf This was pointed out by buffybill on SimHQ forum.
SuperKungFu Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 hmm intestesting, thanks for the heads up. I'll look into it over the weekend. Hopefully some1 will come in here and give us their experience with it. Btw, when you say gfx corruption, is it referring to the dark shadow bug? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
suntrace1 Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 Sry, I have no clue - I guess you'll just have to see for yourself. And report of course.

I checked the notes for 8xxx series and nothing there.... Glad they looking into LOMAC though http://3sqn.com/forum/ Here's to 1.13 -- > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0488djMDBU
Pilotasso Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Thx for sharing! I had corruption at times too! Cheers! Now I only need to get news from my mem RMA :D .
Starlight Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 thx for sharing... I thought it was my system... glad it wasn't! I was already thinkin' about switchin' back to ATI, now I won't, at least for a while...
3Sqn_Fudd Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 anyone confirm drastic degrading of ability to pick out ground targets? .... im on a 8800 btw... ill try some sub settings but the AA and AF are identical to my last driver installations http://3sqn.com/forum/ Here's to 1.13 -- > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0488djMDBU
SuperKungFu Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 anyone tried the full shadow yet? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Ven Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 nVidia removed those drivers now. Says there are problems with them.
ViperVJG73 Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 anyone tried the full shadow yet? Yes! This issue is gone! Best Regards Viper System: Intel Core i7-4790, 3,6GHz, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5, TM HOTAS Warthog;(MSFFB2 for testing); TrackIR4 +Track Clip Pro; Windows 10 Pro.
3Sqn_Fudd Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 nVidia removed those drivers now. Says there are problems with them. Well they were beta to begin with... Is this some sort of drastic failure? http://3sqn.com/forum/ Here's to 1.13 -- > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0488djMDBU
SuperKungFu Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 lol damn, well at least we are getting some sort of response from nvidia, when the next one comes out, gives us a heads up. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
PoleCat Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 It was the vista version of the drivers that was removed: ForceWare 162.15 Vista 64-bit ForceWare 162.15 Vista 32-bit not the XP version: ForceWare 162.15 Win2000/XP (32-bit) These are still available for download on guru3D. Seems like a fine driver set as well. Fixed Single-GPU Issues GeForce 7 Series GPUs: Lock On: Modern Air Combat–graphics corruption occurs. (page 9) Hmmmm? If there are issues fixed with LockOn for all GeForce cards why does it specify only the 7 series in the doc? Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
britgliderpilot Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Yes! This issue is gone! Sounds good! Downloading for testing . . . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Rhino104 Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Definitely did NOT fix my issue. Shadows still make the jet jagged looking and dark and I can't even look forward out of my jet now... Here is what the outside looks like........This time a Mig-29.........funny the cockpit thing didn't happen on the Mig...
Ven Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 It was the vista version of the drivers that was removed: ForceWare 162.15 Vista 64-bit ForceWare 162.15 Vista 32-bit not the XP version: ForceWare 162.15 Win2000/XP (32-bit) These are still available for download on guru3D. If there are issues fixed with LockOn for all GeForce cards why does it specify only the 7 series in the doc? Out No, I don't know where Guru3D got those but nVidia didn't even release 162.15 betas for Vista. I was checking it almost hourly since XP beta was released. It was only for XP and they removed it after numerous people reported BSOD.
Weta43 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Fixed my full shadows, fixed my heat haze, but 16 & 32 bit colour both seem to be 16 bit (that little demonstration rainbow in display settings below where you chose between the two doesn't change). In LO objects are much more 'shiny' - as you rotate the view around a light coloured skinned plane the 'glare' as it catches the light washes out all detail at certain angles, which I suspect is related to not having as great a colour pallete to chose from. Cheers.
SuperKungFu Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I would test this out myself but it not on laptopvideo2go.com yet. I have to wait for an INF file for it. Based on some of the reviews, a couple of BSOD occured with this particular driver, i dunno if it was running on vista or xp- maybe that's why they remove one of them. Anyway, hows the fps? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ED Team f-18hornet Posted June 30, 2007 ED Team Posted June 30, 2007 For me is still there bug with full shadow :mad: I've 7600GT. AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, GeForce RTX 2080Ti, 32 GB DRAM, HOTAS TM Warthog, FSSB R3 Lighting, MFG Crosswind, Win 10 Pro
RvEYoda Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Full shadows with these and 8800gtx still gives the edge corruption S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'
Weta43 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 You don't just mean 'jaggies' on the edge of the shadows do you - that's not a bug, it's a very coarse shadow mask in the game. Cheers.
Starlight Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 it looks it still got some problems, but it also look to have solved some issues... my overall graphics quality is better, and I haven't spotted any corruption yet except this one with full shadows
RvEYoda Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Yes! This issue is gone! Wierd I still cannot run full shadows. All texture edges are completely messed up (I also have 8800gtx) S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'
Prophet Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 If you mean they have large jaggedness to them, its not a driver issue. There is nothing to 'fix'. Maybe post a screen so we know what you mean.
ED Team f-18hornet Posted July 2, 2007 ED Team Posted July 2, 2007 This problem is not solved yet. AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, GeForce RTX 2080Ti, 32 GB DRAM, HOTAS TM Warthog, FSSB R3 Lighting, MFG Crosswind, Win 10 Pro
