Can JTAC target buildings or statics?

Is this possible? I can only get them to target groups of ground units.

I am having the same problem, I set up a Mission in the PG on an island where there is a chemical weapons plant, I used a static building with static storage tanks outside and trucks also. Not sure if I am doing it right, but I can't even get the JTAC (a Reaper Drone)to respond to me. Not sure if I am doing something wrong, or there is a bug.

I think ED needs to give proper training on how to do all that you can do with the ME so people can get the most out of it, instead of getting frustrated and give up. They give you the tools, but then they don't explain how, their manual is old and brief to say the least. They should at least have several examples of how and why of things.

Not that I know of, there may be a way to do it with scripting, but that's beyond me.

My work around to that is to put a single enemy soldier near the "target", and have that as the object being lased.

You can try using the Armed House unit that most countries have, but of course it wont look great if you fly close enough to really see it. You could try doing it with the CTLD, but you wont get any of the back and forth dialog with the JTAC.

A work-around can be scripted with MOOSE SPOT class, but you must also script JTAC communications.

I just wanted a JTAC to "spot" a train which I set up in the Caucasus map. It looks like as if the JTAC can`t do this with any civilian or static object.

I can give the JTAC all available commands, but he just ignores the train. Frustating !
