  1. 1. Which is more important to you?

    • Include fixes to 1.12 problems with the BS add-on
    • Wait on fixing problems and release the Ka-50 ASAP

I heard that BS will include a free case of Miller Lite.

Lite beer doesn't motivate me at all.. Now if it was Molson then I'd buy a few copies :smilewink:

Anyway I chose 1 .. fix everything for BS, that way we can all start moaning early for a patch to fix the bugs in LO: BS :D

What you say is absurd but I'm not allowed to tell you why. You'll have to wait for the july announcement.

Why? What does an announcement about features, function, potential release time frames, etc about an add on --the second such add on--

have to do with "we can't fix this problem due to the releationship w/ (n)Ubi because... ?"

You "fixed & improved" upon the code in 1.1 FC, you even told us about some of it ahead of time. Ubi had nothing to do with it then, did they? In fact- after completely divorcing themselves from all support-I like to call it "surrendering"-they wanted a piece of that FC action! So they put another company out front so they could get some $$ without supporting it! What's the difference now- after 2 patches to that add on? If there is some legitimate legal roadblock to fixing the problems- I fail to see the reason why that- and that alone- cannot be explained. If money is the issue- meaning ED needs the revenues (they hope) that this jet powered ceiling fan is going to provide- fine. Say so.

Hey, Konkussion, can you prove your statement with facts?

I go for option 2!

Here is why:

The release of BS will generate extra cash needed for the extra resources which are needed to make the patch for the other fixes.

After the release of BS you need anyway a patch (BS 1.0.2a/b.)

At a certain point ED have to stop working on the old solution/version because the new solution will not inherit modifications done on the old solution.

There needs to be the option:

"3. Fix the bugs in the current game in a patch before BS is released."

I'm talking bugs like sound (flaps, brake) stop working. We should not have to pay for these fixes.

Of course! Just saying... the helo(s) is not what makes me want to buy BS. Updates, fixes, more AFM and an improved Lock-On is my reason.

Hey, Konkussion, can you prove your statement with facts?

Eh? Are you serious? Is it your contention UBi publicly supported LOMAC after 1.02? When FC was about to go on sale they worked out some last minute thing with ED- (that was a confusing fiasco) & put Evolved up to sell Lock on Gold when FC came out.

Evolved didn't create the title LOMAC- they licensed, bought, republished it whatever you want to call it. They most certainly PAID UBI to do so.

NET result: UBI gets money/ commission/ whatever for "X" number of LOMAC licenses sold by Evolved, UBI has zero culpability for the defective disc cluster **** perpetrated by Evolved.

Maybe you're misunderstanding me, or I you- but I don't see what there is for me to "prove".

I think there WILL be a patch, but after BS - as Wags alluded to.

I don't think radars will be touched much, but ... there's a short list of 'things to fix' of which some things may not be fixed - it's anyone's guess really, but the intent to fix them is there.

The ED devs are themselves fans of this genre and they do want to model things as well as possible - the 'Shark ought be proof of this.

Regardless, don't expect miracles ... some of us are working to help make things much better than they are, and hopefully this will happen sooner rather than later.

This stuff hasn't gone unnoticed - it just seems to take a lot of time to work on them.

As others have said, you need to contact Evolved Games and will probably need to send in a proof of purcahse. Do NOT contact Ubisoft about this, they have nothing to do with 1.1 FC.

-Matt

So if Ubi had nothing to do with 1.1 FC, why would it have anything to do with 1.2 BS?

Returning missiles to 1.02 would be better than what we have now but they would still be bad. The FOV of the seekers was way too big and some didn't fall for chaff AT ALL. The things that were changed needed to be changed but the changes needed adjustments before they were released.

For me, the F-15 TWS bug needs to be fixed as much as the missiles.

Posted

The one where TWS can be jammed by an SPJ?

The one where it drops to STT when jammed?

The one where the radar scan zone doesn't center on the PDT?

The one where it tracks targets as if in STT rather than having a delay?

The one where you cannot step through targets at will?

The one where you cannot 'unbug' the PDT?

The one where you can't adjust azimuth/bar scan freely?

Which one? There's more, I'm sure.

I'd call some of'em bugs, though indeed the behavior in a lot of cases is 'by design' :(

It doesn't mean they're not bugs - in some cases they could not have been changed ... I'm just wondering which one GOYA is referring to.
