Guest ElPoopo Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Hello to all my fellow LoMac...ers? Whatever, hi to you all. For my first post I have to ask a question. I know this has probably been discussed to death in the past but I just got my hands on flaming cliffs and I really have to whine about starforce here. My question is simple, I know that in patch 1.12 it only asks for the disk to be in the drive once a week which is a start but I'm simply wondering if there is anyway once the disk is validated for starforce to be 'cool' with it all and just let me play without the disk for as long as it's installed. I just really hate having to dig through all my CDs (my rooms a mess). That's all.
159th_Viper Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 ....and I really have to whine about starforce here... Not a good idea! ...wondering if there is anyway once the disc is validated for starforce to be 'cool' with it all..... Cosmonaut Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Clean your room :smilewink: .. heh Heck placing the CD in the drive once a week isn't all that bad seeing as every console game and most other PC games require you to place the CD in the drive every time you want to play them. Oh and Welcome :D Cozmo. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Minimum effort, maximum satisfaction. CDDS Tutorial Version 3. | Main Screen Mods.

rattler Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 your very lucky you bought the disc version. The download version is a nightmare, once you use up your activation keys.(5) then you have to be very polite and ask if you can have some more. There is no obligation to provide you more keys but they have been very good in that area. So put your disk beside your computer and put it in every 7 days and thank god that's all you have to do.Cheers. Welcome to the forum. You will find it very helpfull.

PythonOne Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Yea welcome to Lock On. About the SF thing, most of us agree with you but we just have to live with it. ED chose to use the SF protection, i would be glad if they removed it since it has brought nothing but bad reputation for them, but we have to use it. When lock on gold was printed, half of them cannot be loaded due to SF, and then when the site went down, half of the download users couldn't reactivate their product leaving several pissed off people.
Weta43 Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 If you didn't have to put it in your machine once a week you could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate, who could install it then give it to a mate - & none of these people would have to pay for it - which isn't good business. Cheers.

LOL Now you can setup already a LAN party with 30+ PC’s and run for a week with only one copy of Lockon FC. Not bad I guess..
