GTFreeFlyer Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 I'm looking for a catalog of vehicles/objects (with pictures), maybe even a short description of what they are capable of. When flying and told to attack a SA-13, or whatever it might be, I really have no idea what I should be looking for, especially if it's surrounded by lots of other vehicles then I have no idea which one to target. Where can I study up on these targets? I'm sure I'll know most of them as I gain more experience, but for now, I'm still just a noob. Thanks! DmitriKozlowsky Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 There is an app, for Windows, that uses voice control. You say SA-13 Wiki, and Wikipedia article on Gaskin SAM pops on panel, not in use by DCS. Or, just remember them. I'been flight simming since late 1990's. Falcon4, Jane's F-15E (BEST UNTIL DCS came along), LockOn, KA-50, DCS. All have same or similar threats and targets. SA-2 Guideline, big radar guided SAM SA-3 Goa, intermediate range SAM SA-4 Ganef , big radar guided SAM SA-5 Gammon. Giant radar guided SAM. SA-6 Gainfull. Medium-short range radar guided SAM. Most numerous threat in Falcon, F-15E SA-7 Grail. MANPADS 1st gen. Drop flares, and it won't touch you. Can't engage if you are above 10K SA-8 Gecko. Dangerous short range radar qued, but IR guided mobile battlefield SAM. SA-9 Gaskin. Short range IR sam . Easy to evade. SA-13. Short range easy to evade SAM. SA-14 2nd Gen MANPADS. Not much of a threat IMHO. --Any SAM 15 and higher, in DCS, are 2nd generation SAMs, and are difficult to impossible to evade.

GTFreeFlyer Posted February 3, 2019 Author Posted February 3, 2019 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84314 This may be useful for you Exactly what I’m looking for. Would be nicer with more vehicles, but this will do for now. Going to add it to the kneeboard!
