Ironhand Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Was cruising Google Earth and ran across this photo of one of my favorite spots on the LOMAC map: Lake Ritsa. Ironhand Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 lol as much as I fly often on.. I don't even know where that is, and I've been all over the map... It's (obviously) up in the mountains. You'll find it NEE of Sochi-Adler airbase. Take off and fly a heading of 80 degrees for about 50 km. You'll find it. It's the mountain lake I fly across in my Su-25T Orientation video. It's quite a surprise--like most mountain lakes--when you just happen upon it. Dawn I wish so. But I fear a no. Altough I would like to see this. Just imagine it. Slipping down a valley in a helo. Air currents shifting the mist, opening and closing, across your path... :) Ahhh... I think I know maybe where you're talking about but I'll fly it just to see, as I know one mountain lake... I took during a tutorial, I think Su-25 Mountain Flying back in the day, but worth a look-see anyways :) I've flown a bit of FSX and like the fact you can get updated weather. Yes it would be great, and No I'm going to request it :) Homepage | Discord | Linktree | YouTube 'Nearly everyone felt the need to express their views on all wars to me, starting with mine. Brit_Radar_Dude Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Ritsa I seem to recall a v1.02 A-10 versus Tunguska mission someone made back in the day called "Tun of Trouble" that was set at Lake Ritsa.... Force_Feedback Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Am I the only one that thinks 'Oh crap, that's gonna hurt my future pc'? It looks very nice indeed, but I'd rather have more advanced flight models than eye candy. This doesn't mean that I need low poly Falcon 4 models, this means that either the surroundings have to be optimised, or that their detail level should be slightly lower than that of the flying objects.
