HP's Reverb VR Pro Headset

The PC power supplies tend to fail over time as well.
It's definitely not that. It's a relatively new Seasonic Platinum grade and my PC has no not her issues.

I also have a seasonic 850 they are very good brands. Most USB power issues though come from the motherboard.

For me the innatek card didn't work with the Cv1 for long. I had to order a startech one that had individual power bus delivery.

I was just telling that guy that the 31st week is after they started manufacturing the fixes. My HP tech guy told me they were about to start manufacturing with fixes (Gen 2) near the end of the third week in July. I think if you have one manufactured in the 25th week it is a Gen 1 but there are some without problems. Just a guess from what I was told but I spoke to the guy a lot back then. Gen 1 red, Gen 2 green. He made it sound like there may have been a pause.

Where did you hear 31st weeks? Mine is the 25th week and I have had none of the original issues with high temp, flickering or screen loss.

Just a guess based on HP tech guy. I sure hope the Gen 2's are really fixed. lol

I have that one but never installed it since the MB worked fine. (US link) The 4-port option wasn't even 3.1 Gen 2.

Pleasant surprise. Been following this thread for months and just ordered my Reverb from HP on Tuesday (upgrading from Vive Pro). Did t expect it til end of next week and it arrived today! May need to lean on many of you guys for setup and tweaking. Never used WMR before but have the beta module installed in steam already. Can’t wait! Thanks to all you guys that have been doing the heavy lifting reporting on the Reverb and setup over last several months.

Ordered mine with shipping date of Aug 21, but will be delivered Aug. 17 according to tracking.

You mean you can't trust the Internet? Maybe it depends on which week one is using. ISO week date standard (ISO-8601), other systems use weeks starting on Sunday (US) or Saturday (Islamic).

When you guys get your "new" versions, check the version in the winders hardware manager, I'm curious if its 1000.2 or a newer one.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

@Secoda is this what you wanted?

Under Steam VR hardware.....listed as HP Reverb VR Headset VR1000-2xxx0.

Bare in mind this is an Australian version and may vary from other countries as I noticed the model number was different from US Version on the respective websites.

Welp, WMR portal doesn't recognize my i7 920 @ 4+ghz as a valid processor (it checks its stock speed of 2.67 instead of what its actually running at) so I can't progress in the setup menu. Not sure what I can do here. My Rift S functioned totally fine with my hardware. :/

Yeah it needs a processor that supports AVX/Popcnt instructions.

Can anybody recommend a strong motherboard choice with great overclocking potential for a 9900K? Guess it's te for a Newegg visit. Haha

Doesn't have to be an ROG Mobo. I have a z370e Asus board and it works fine for wmr and my original odyssey. Any recent Mobo that supports the newer Intel chips should also support avx instructions.

I also recommend microcenter if it's close to you because changing a Mobo isn't tough but it's time consuming so if anything does not boot up or post it's easy to return to microcenter. My second build, a brand new Asus board never booted up so I took it back and they let me get a different one no questions asked.

I don't live anywhere near a Microcenter and the closest Frys is about a 3 hour drive.

I might just build a new PC, it's been a while anyways.
