diditopgun Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 (edited) Yesterday in a MP multicrew flight. When engine begin to start up, cockpit start shaking, making waypoints input for the RIO near impossible. But the biggest issue is that it seems to prevent catapult launch after shift+U. We did many realignment on catapult, and switched between 3 different catapults. Only when hooked up on the third catapult the aircraft stop shaking, and catapult launch worked. BlueRaven Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Thanks God, I thought to be the only one! I experienced cockpit shaking several times now, beginning when right engine is started by the pilot and ending when we are hooked up to the catapult. We did not try if it manifests itself also starting from the ground, but it for sure was not an issue in previous patches. For us, it does not block cat shot but is extremely annoying, because - as diditopgun said - it makes inputting waypoints nearly impossible. Please fix! If needed I can provide a track and/or a video demonstrating the issue. Nulla Dies Sine Linea
609_Relentov Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Sounds similar to a post I had pertaining to the cockpit shake on the F-14, but only after hooking up with the catapult sled/shuttle via the “u” key: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3866098&postcount=26

Yesterday we tried to spawn on a ground based F-14 and no shaking occurred, so it seems to be a carrier based plane specific issue. Nulla Dies Sine Linea
lucky-hendrix Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 I have the exact same symptoms as BlueRaven. We usualy play on a localy hosted server, on a mission where carrier is traveling around 18-22kts
BlueRaven Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 @Heatblur any news on this? Problem is still live and more and more annoying! Nulla Dies Sine Linea

RustBelt Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 The "FIX" is wait for one of the not crappy stop gap carriers to come out. Either the Forestall or the ED Supercarrier.
Ducksen Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 As a workaround, you can when hooked up to the catapult press the lower nose gear switch again. Seems weird, I know. But worked for me. Also you can have the ground crew place wheel chocks while hooked up. Remove them again and you might get a launch after that. Yes the aircraft needs to be properly linked to the carriers movements. Just trying to help out.
HavaFaza Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 As a mild workaround, you can try pressing Left Win+F1 to toggle head shift movement off. The camera still jitters around slightly, but it's much easier to work with.
