I downloaded 7.8. I am very tempted to try it now. First have to remove 7.7. The process sucks.. :doh:

 

I am stil awaiting Saitek to put out the next Beta version, Beta 2 sucks green donkeys...

I tried to install 7.8 it went FUBAR on me,, what a mess.. so I went back and installed a version of the Radeon Catalyst made only available through the website that made my video card. Gotta test it maybe tonight.. :music_whistling:

I am now using a Catalyst Driver version from HIS for Radeon Video Cards. I set my disance levels down to medium, all seems well... :joystick:

Hmmmm Ramstein i dont know why your having so much trouble.... when you install a new driver for ATI it should automatically delete the old one... or at least it does for me... but everything is good for me with the new version... Ramstein what is your process for uninstalling it?

I really didn't have any problems with the drivers in any other games, I just had some problems in LockOn and STALKER with 7.7. I ended up trying the drivers form HIS again:

BTW, I never had problems installing unistalling driver til I trie dot install 7.8 I screwed up because I usually unisntall all the drivers files at once before reboot. But this time I tried ATI's method and it screwed me up. Their directions suck. In any case I am flying some il-2 now and tried LockOn earlier with the HIS drivers. So far so good. But am disappointed I cannot run the settings in LockON maxed out as I thought should be no problem. :joystick:

Tried it and lost a lot of graphics and lost Icons on desktop plus other issues. Went back to 7.7 and all is well again. Cheers.

Well, i installed 7.8 XP for my X1950Pro yesterday, i've ran LockOn (1.12 and 1.2 Beta) C&C 3, Prey, COD2 and some other apps, as well as most other day to day things and i haven't experienced a single issue :huh: guess i must be lucky

i'm reverting back to 7.7 because now i'm getting blue screens and restarts when i fly :( dunno why.

No issues here either (with ATI X1950XTX). Tried MSFS2004 and of course LockOn FC... no problems at all.
