Ala12Rv-Birdman Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Just finished the campaign.. I really enjoyed it, thank U so much beppe_goodolrebel!! I only found some minor issues to brush it up (if you like to get some feedback): - Forced to taxi to parking at the very end of the main runway. Most of the times I could taxi out to parking area using the exit at the middle of the runway, but this way the mission-end message does not trigger. - Maybe add some more important data on the briefing, like loadout or relevant freqs. In the first AG mission I run low on fuel and cannot contact the tanker cause I didn't know its freq and there was no answer on Ch7 As I said, just minor issues.. Great job, I really fun flying it!!! Actually this is the route your AI wingman use to taxi. I believe the real Nellis would not have bidirectional flow on the taxiway Aplha at the given time. I could use this exit too but didn't want to test it for trigger zones :) btw: Am I supposed to hear anything more than "What a lovely day..." from the tanker in M#3? I'm afraid I wasn't very good at keeping the tight formation and never heard from him again. So I just waited for time 1:05 and head to base until Mission Completed. Did I miss sth? Great job, I really fun flying it!!! Right , there is not a trigger zone on the "other" side but I can totally add it. For freqs there is the Mission Data Card in the kneeboard. i'll check tanker in every mission, I had to replace the KC130 with KC135 , maybe I miss something. You can always use RIO to do it for you. With the JESTER AI menu -> RADIO -> TUNE TAC -> TANKER btw: Am I supposed to hear anything more than "What a lovely day..." from the tanker in M#3? I'm afraid I wasn't very good at keeping the tight formation and never heard from him again. So I just waited for time 1:05 and head to base until Mission Completed. Did I miss sth? There was a wrong flag , try use the last version. Anyway try to stay close to tanker < 1nm ( at least once )
mustard7550 Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Loving the campaign but my wingman doesn't respond on any frequency and I can't get the tanker (mission 3 AAR and BFM) to respond when I want to refuel, easy comms is offand all the frequency's check out according to the kneeboard???

Let me check the mission ... meanwhile you can tell Jester to switch his radio to the tanker freq. in the "TUNE TAC" menu in his radio menu. Wingman is in Channel 1 both radios.
mustard7550 Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Cheers, tried the tac tune and still nothing it's very odd but maybe something I'm doing (or rather not doing)
Scotch75 Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Cheers, tried the tac tune and still nothing it's very odd but maybe something I'm doing (or rather not doing)Did you try FM or AM? There is a Jester command to toggle between the two. Cheers! mustard7550 Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 (edited) I didn't as the tower and the scripted comms is working fine. Will give that a try in a bit. **update tried changing the range from am to fm and also back but no change still didn't work, worth a try though** Edited May 30, 2019 by mustard7550
TOViper Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 (edited) Great campaign!! I am really enjoying it.. However, this happened to me during mission 3 (night formation): While escorting refueler, everything going right and calm, I received a message "Head stearpoint 3 and RTB". No more messages for the rest of the flight. I got to my parking slot. Shutt down engines and exit mission. Now I have to start the campagin from the very begining. What went wrong? Any way to continue the campaign from mission 4? Thank you!!! Well, I went through campaign missions 1 and 2. But why the hell did I loose mission 2 when not completing mission 3 due to nothing happening after leaving tanker? I had to start over with mission 2, damn, this is really annoying. Flight 2 and 3 took me approx 3 hours in total. I this behaviour a DCS bug? edit: I changed the file "C:\Users\pilot\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\MissionEditor\logbook.lua" to the following code below. Now I can start over with the fourth mission. ["history"] = { [1] = { ["datetime"] = "Fri May 31 23:09:54 2019", ["agKills"] = 0, ["aaKills"] = 0, ["result"] = 100, ["deathsCount"] = 0, ["stage"] = 1, ["mission"] = "Red Flag Training - Day 0 - Nellis Welcome!.miz", }, -- end of [1] [2] = { ["datetime"] = "Sat Jun 1 00:34:59 2019", ["agKills"] = 0, ["aaKills"] = 0, ["result"] = 100, ["deathsCount"] = 0, ["stage"] = 2, ["mission"] = "Red Flag Training - Day 1 - NTTR and Formation Flying .miz", }, -- end of [2] [3] = { ["datetime"] = "Sat Jun 1 02:24:16 2019", ["agKills"] = 0, ["aaKills"] = 0, ["result"] = 100, ["deathsCount"] = 0, ["stage"] = 3, ["mission"] = "Red Flag Training - Day 1 - Night Formation Flying.miz", }, -- end of [3] [4] = { ["stage"] = 4, ["mission"] = "Red Flag Training - Day 2 - AAR and BFM Training.miz", }, -- end of [4] }, -- end of ["history"] Happy to play this awesome campaign, thanks for creating this wonderful experience! TOViper Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 (edited) I have a small suggestion for mission 4 (AA Guns), and I think this counts for mission 5 as well (despite I will have to fly it tomorrow). It was the case that Jester got a little nervous right from the beginning on. It would be better IMHO if the F-5 would be "Invisible=true" starting from waypoint 0 until waypoint 3. For waypoints 3 to 9 they should be "Invisible=false", and then again "Invisible=true" again when flying back to their base (1 F-5 did escape, yes!). Enter the mission editor, go to the radio preset page for group Colt 1, change Channel 5 (DEPARTURE) should be 385.4 and Channel 6 (APPROACH) 291.725 . Anyway pilot radio is good , you can use that with same channels.

Or F-5E could have radar off until the fight and then off again if that bothers anyone. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Steve Gee Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 To install as a campaign instead of individual missions, do we need to make a folder for the campaign missions or just place them in the Saved Games campaign/en folder? Sorry, not real familiar with DCS's mission folder structure. Vmac77 Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 Just tried downloading these missions but nothing is showing up. I've placed it in the F-18/Missions/Single folder and noticed it's downloaded as a .rar file when all the other ones are .miz files. When I downloaded it, I didn't have the option to extract the files and manually moved them to my F 18 mission folder.

You have to download Winrar app to extract the .miz inside the .rar file. https://www.win-rar.com/download.html?&L=0

Jyge Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 O, I post it here too as I got no answer so far in F-14 forum. I am stuck in Mission 06, the aggressor mission. I get no response from ground crew for connecting the electric power nor air supply. So can not start. Can I somehow edit the mission in mission editor so that it is starting with running engines, for example?

It is because the Aggressors are considered Red force, and you are at a Blue base, so no ground services available. Hope it helps Cheers!
