CEPEGA
I was suffering problems with TrackIR on sunny days. In my room, if sun is shining through the window, it‘s shining directly on the wall behind me and TrackIR starts going crazy because of to many tracked objects. So my idea was to put a infrared filter foil directly on the TrackIR camera, so it lets only infrared light through. So i searched on amazon for such ir filter foil, but found only IR filters for dslr camera objectives. Then after some research i found out that you can use a floppy disc as a ir filter. So i took one floppy disc apart (don‘t ask me why i had a floppy disc at home in 2019 :D ) cut it so it matches the front of the TrackIR camera and put it on with scotch tape. And well, it works! TrackIR now only see the three leds from track clip pro but no sun spots on the wall behind me. On the pics you can see the sun spots recognized by TrackIR camera without floppy dics and afterwards with floppy disc where only three track clip pro led’s are visible Hope this helps you guys Asus Z97-PRO | Intel i7-4790K @ 4.00Ghz | beQuite! Rudel_chw
I put curtains on my room's windows .. works well, tough I admit that it is not a cheap solution ... yet, the added privacy is a bonus :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
1987kess
Nice one! In my case, I have a big window behind the desk where I play, adjusting the light filter it works when it's cloudy, but when a sunny day I have to close the curtains because even with the maximum light filter on it reflects awfully (as yours)- I think I will try your solution so my plants will thank me and you! Thanks!
Jeepyb
you can also crack open an old floppy disk and use part of the disk inside. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Callsign: BUNZ https://www.5vwing.com/

lucky-hendrix
There is something wrong in your reasoning. Trick or camera already only lets ir light through. Sunlight is composed of a big mix of wavelengths, including the one used by track ir. You can't filter out the sunlight without also filtering out the track it leds Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
Demon_
It's more like an IR pass-through filter. Attache ta tuque avec d'la broche.
Mr_Burns
My window is at 90 degrees to the track ir but the sun moves across it, I made a small cardboard glareshield for the sensor, as the sensor is only narrow the glareshield doesnt have to be too big.
