Squid23 Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I grabbed this (took ages!) but it is great!!! http://www.mininova.org/tor/760610 (Sorry if it has already been discussed.) :)Squid.
thesystem Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 What is it all about? Does it include some nice never shown data? DCS World, A10C, AV8B, M2k, FA18C, FC3, MIG21
nscode Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Who's documentary is it (publisher)? Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
SuperKungFu Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 The title of the torrent is the Su-27 flanker as displayed by a kvochur- display aircraft series vol 1. So yea i've seen it before, it was a pretty good documentary for those who still haven't seen it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Squid23 Posted August 22, 2007 Author Posted August 22, 2007 It seems to be pretty old circa early 1990's (I think) But show a lot of in cockpit aerobatic footage. SKF, do you know of any other good flanker or MiG stuff?
VMFA117_Poko Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 The title of the torrent is the Su-27 flanker as displayed by a kvochur- display aircraft series vol 1. So yea i've seen it before, it was a pretty good documentary for those who still haven't seen it. I saw that too. Many interviews with Anatolij Kvochur there. In example he said about his ejecting from MiG-29 on Le Bourget because engine sucked seagul and also said about advantage of ejecting seat. Also good interview with John Farley. Good shots, good music (well, for a documentary). Really Nice.
SuperKungFu Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 SKF, do you know of any other good flanker or MiG stuff? you should also watch Su-27 Flanker - The Sukhoi Story [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nscode Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 man... how many consecutive cobras was that? 10? Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.

Pilotasso Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 GOt them too. VEry good. Try "History of the MIG" in E-mule. you wont regret it despite the long wait. :) .
SuperKungFu Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Speaking about the MiG, also watch MiG-29 Fulcrum as displayed by A Garnajev [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Force_Feedback Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Is it that British documentary from 1996? With some flying tapes in it? I recognize the name. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
leafer Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 It seems to be pretty old circa early 1990's (I think) But show a lot of in cockpit aerobatic footage. SKF, do you know of any other good flanker or MiG stuff? Get "Red October" A documentary of a squadron of U.S. FA-18 Aggressor (Top Gun instructors) that flew to Germany to face the Mig29s. I bought it on-line while I was living in L.A. three years ago from a TV station called, I think, Nova. I'm not sure if they still have it. No, the German Mig pilots were definitely no slouch. It might just me but I sware, I think one of the U.S. instructors were a bit surprised at the outcome of the dogfight (2-2) by the look on his face during debriefing. His face was monkey's ass red the whole time and it looked like he was thinking...Shit, I thought we came here to hand these clowns two kegs of whoop ass. My favorite part was when another pilots were showing his FA-18 gun cam where he was pulling up behind his adversary, and it looked as if he's about to bag the poor old Mig... LOL You got to see it and hear what he had said. Pretty much the Mig just pulled out of their like it was on crack, yo. One moment it was there then...POOF! No. Not the POOF that usually followed by spray of blood and feather. heh The pilot said something along the line of how he never imagined the Fulcrum to be that maneuverable. He was so used to fighting with another Hornet that it shocked him. After that, I grew a new found love for Mig-29s. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
SuperKungFu Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Speaking about NOVA- the battle of the X-planes was also pretty good. However, it has nothing to do with the flanker though, just X-32 vs X-35. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
leafer Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Yup. Saw that one as well. Awesome. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

192nd_Erdem Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 All I get in E Mule is Sean Conery's movie! :D I prefer "that" Sean Conner movie rather than usual Rambo ones ;)
mcnab Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Saw the Su-27 documentary. Nothing special IMO. Would rather preferr to see some combat action stuff. Something simmilar to that russian Su-25 documentary.
leafer Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 All I get in E Mule is Sean Conery's movie! :D your joke is lost on me, man. sorry. or were you saying i downloaded Red October from emule? just curious. :) ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
nscode Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 He's saying that he tried to, but could not :) Neither could I :D :( Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
SuperKungFu Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 yea.. me either....but if someone upload the Red October (and not the Sean Conery movie Hunt for Red Ocotober)....that would be really nice *wink wink* [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
leafer Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Ack! 'Scuse me while I smake forehead...or perhaps I should stop doing that and use the smilies... heh Sorry, Pilotasso. My brain and I, we had a fight one night and it decided to walk out on me. Hasn't seen it since. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
Slaunyeh Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Correct me if iґm wrong, but iґve read that the f18 is mediocre in all aspects. (but then people says the same of f16 as a fighter). Apart from the f18e(inexistent by the time), its seems many pilots stated it is unruly at low speed with a lot of nose woobling, even to land on a carrier, and its performance high speed was nothing special. They also added the fact that f18 couldnґt stand as weapon platform due to short range, radar inadequacy (refering to phoenix of course). At least it seemed all in all the pilot where saying was : We prefer f14 at least it has many good points, while the f18 doesnґt perform good at no task. but then those infos are old. Whats the rummors bout f18 now.
