[REPORTED] F/A 18 LGB won't switch from CCIP to Auto?

Hi,

 

 

I've watched numerous tutorials and was in fact doing this a few weeks ago, but now I'm stuck. I'm either missing something obvious or perhaps their is a bug? I'm assuming it's me and not the sim. I go wheels up and get to about angels 10, then I proceed to set up my GBU 12's: Master ARM on, A/G mode, select GBU 82's, select mode, select auto....doesn't change from CCIP. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing here? The other buttons seems to work fine. I can punch in the code on the ufc fine.

Hi again,

 

 

I'm goofing around with it a bit more. I decided for the hell of it I would select CCIP first even though it was already displaying preset in that mode. Then I selected AUTO and it switched over to auto. That seems like a glitch to me. But I could be wrong and that's how the aircraft works? Weird.

 

 

Anyway, I thought I would mention in case anyone else is having this problem.

I had some similar experiences. Does the [No Bug] really mean that it is designed as intended?

No, it's not the way the aircraft works and is definitely a bug/glitch: I confirm that a few weeks ago it was working as it should (even Wags in his videos clicks and mode instantly changes) and was messed up in one of the last patches.

I experienced it not later than yesterday evening - and in several other occasions in the past few weeks - and after some casual clickety-clackety on switches and buttons I finally managed to switch to AUTO... don't know exactly which was the solving click (maybe I also clicked on CCIP first, can't remember).

Not game breaking, but please fix because it's quite annoying.

Azimuth Steering Line vanishes when WPDSG is selected

In Auto mode GBU12 delivery was all set and Azimuth Steering Line was on que in HUD as normal, WPDSG is selected for TGT then ASL vanishes and is irretrievable.

This system was working perfectly less than 48 hours ago.

I found/forgot that I made a change to my WP Altitude which is the WP I was designating thus the Azimuth Line couldn't appear. My bad, I completely forgot about this. So, if anyone is having this trouble as I had, then check the WP your using for WPDSG is set to min ALT , I just hit 0 and it auto sets to whatever the min is. Anyway, problem solved and positively not Bugged.

[NEED A TRACK] GBU AUTO Bombing Mode Problem

 

Hi all,

I'm running stable V2.5.4.29167 and flying the Paveway II Laser Guided Bombing Practise Mission. I'm initially unable to set the bombing mode to AUTO despite pressing the correct selection, it just stays at the default setting it was when I load into the mission, CCIP.

 

 

In order to actually select AUTO, I must first select the CCIP button and then cycle back to AUTO for that setting to "stick". I'm not seeing this behaviour with Mk82 etc in other missions, only the GBU. I haven't included at track because the mission I'm flying is from the default F/A-18C Missions Menu which we all have access to.

 

 

Additionally, if I cycle the program button, programs 1-4 are all CCIP modes initially (program 5 is set to MAN and remains that way) and then if I continue cycling the program button, then programs 1-4 become AUTO.

 

I wasn't seeing this behaviour prior to the update that moved the stable version to 2.5.4.29167. Can you please put this on the list to be fixed.

Unfortunately I missed this thread and created a new one a couple of hours ago with exactly the same issue. I posted a couple of tracks in my thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=239255. Check them out and see if it's the same as what you are seeing. I'd be pretty sure it is.

 

 

Hopefully this can be looked at and fixed in due course.

Make sure your undesignate (default key S) is not pressed when trying to designate waypoint as weapon waypoint.

I tried in the latest beta and it works correctly.

I can confirm that it is also the same way in the latest Open Beta. It is not mission specific. I tried a custom mission in the Persian Gulf and you need to click CCIP before clicking AUTO.

Looks like something might have been broken in the last OB and Stable updates then.

 

Anyway the track files should help to identify the where the problem is hopefully.

Does anyone know if this has now been acknowledged as a bug by ED yet, I added the track files almost a week ago? It’s obviously not going to stop a mission but it’s relatively annoying.

Does AUTO mode work in LG bombs?

 

Maybe a stupid question, but I see it works in Wag's video for the LG bombs, but I can't select it. Can only get CCIP.

Is it me, or is it not working at the moment?

It must somehow work as I got it working once! But, retrying the practice mission, I still can't get it to move from CCIP. Is there something I have to do to trigger that availability?
