Larkis Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 When i fly the hornet and learned the Case1 i often bolter when i was not onspeed. In the tomcat its hard to be OnSpeed but it looks like the tomcat didn't care. When i got touchdown on the right place i catch the wire, even if im not on the donut. Is that the way how it works in the tomcat or is it a bug? Or works the hornet the same way and i was to stupid to recognize? :joystick:

Based on my personal experience.....that’s already modeled :megalol: 9800X3D, MSI 5080 , G.SKILL 64GB DDR5-6000, Win 11, MSI X870, 2/4TB nVME, Quest 3, OpenHornet Pit
FoxTwo Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Based on my personal experience.....that’s already modeled :megalol: I was going to say I'm positive I've had a tire blowout and a collapsed gear at least once. Maybe twice. No more than that.
Pikey Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Looking forward to better hook modelling. Currently you can go warp factor 5 and catch a wire. Then you get videos of people doing terribad landings thinking this is all fine. Which doesn't give you the reward of doing it well. Or "OK". ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
Biggus Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Can confirm collapsed gear does happen. It happened to me once during start up! Must have been a pretty bad storm I was in. Taxiing over to the cat, there was a noticeable slant.
Cytarabine Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 I think it is part of why I thought landing the Hornet was harder than the Tomcat, I would often make approaches way to fast and basically dive for the deck and unsurprising bolter in the Hornet while the Tomcat would catch a wire (often the first wire).
