these systems build on each other, and ltws is still incomplete

how can you saw tws wasnt mentioned when wags noted it 2 mupdates ago

do people have to talk like broken records so you can have a constant stream of reassurance or something?

Has development of TWS been put on hold? It has not be mentioned in the past several Mini Updates.

Wags literally mention LTWS an hour ago on the forums in a mini update. TWS is connected to LTWS

Thank you everyone for again showing the DCS community at it's finest with such kind responses.

The last update that mentions TWS is 3/23...two updates ago mentions TWS in reference to MIDS but you need TWS operational before implementing MIDS for it, hence the reason I asked.

I did not realize that LTWS was incomplete; it makes sense that LTWS and TWS are interconnected though. Now I understand.

They need to do the az/ez page before TWS as well per mini updates
Why? How are they comnected?

I'm really looking forward to TWS over something like AZ/EL.

Azimuth / elevation (as in azimuth OVER elevation)

Basically, the RDR ATTK is azimuth over range, where the horizontal axis is azimuth and vertical is range. In AZ/EL, horizontal is azimuth and vertical is altitude (as if looking straight out the nose of the plane instead of from above).

I don’t know but I’d guess they probably want to have the A2A radar mechanics fully coded and in place before they start messing with full track files, and the complex tracking situations that happen in TWS. AFAIK The entire radar code system is being redone for the sim, and the hornet is the testbed. I think it’s best they do things in the right order. Systems like the radar build upon themselves.

Gotta have the walls in before you can start on the roof.
