FoxOne007 Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 So I recently noticed (once being prompted with it) that the LITENING pod has received new textures, however, they TGP is now blue instead of gray. It looks really off putting and just weird. I hope this can be fixed in the near future. Example: Ingame: IRL: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
DeathAngel1 Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I think its coming from LITENING for Horner, which should be implemented soon. I saw it in Wags video. It looks much better, but i dont know what is the real color (gray or blue). ..:NAVY PILOTS ARE THE THE BEST PILOTS:..
dmatt76 Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 There are grey and blue. They should include both version in my opinion especially if the blue one is newer. A-10c is pretty old module
Kev2go Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 what is the practical difference between years of production of the same model? why is blue newer? Litening 2 AT is the litening 2 AT version. You cant really have a "newer"unless ED wants to upgrade Litening 2 AT to the Litening 2 G4. Kev2go Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 (edited) There are grey and blue. They should include both version in my opinion especially if the blue one is newer. A-10c is pretty old module You also have to remember the A10C Suite 3 would have been a circa 2005-06 era aircraft. Its the first iteration of the A10C. So it really shouldn't be using anything more modern Litening 2 than the AT variation. The improved Litening 2 G4 wouldn't be available until 2008 at the earliest. bennyboy9800 Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 (edited) I agree that the Litening color should get darker. Here are some reference pictures The old Litening model had a more accurate, or I should say common, color. SkateZilla Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 The Color Appears correct for me in Photoshop, Modelviewer and in game. What are your Gamma Settings, because almost everything in that screenshot looks overcolored/dark. bennyboy9800 Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 (edited) My gamma setting is 1.7... How it looks: How it should look: Here are the .dds files. How it looks: How it should look: There is a CLEAR difference in color between what we have been offered and what can commonly be seen in real life, regardless of gamma settings. This is not a game breaking issue, but is also a very simple thing to change that shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to correct. Nooch Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 I agree with the point the OP is trying to make. The new Litening body color that we have looks ugly and doesn't even match what we can commonly see in real life. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
dermobb Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 Here are the .dds files. Hi, can you share the files or give info where to find the dds files, so I can edit them myself? Thanks! Greetings, Nils :joystick: -- i7 4790k, RTX 2060, 16 GB RAM

bennyboy9800 Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 ED added the ability to change the Litening pod texture via skins (For the F-16 atleast). So this thread is somewhat obsolete now. Intel i7 9700k CPU Nvidia GTX 1080Ti 16GB RAM Samsung 256GB SSD Thrustmaster T16000m HOTAS
