Silver_Dragon Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 (edited) Wags talk about harpoons on the Mini-updates. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3967134&postcount=167 In parallel though, other tasks are steaming ahead like new features for the SA page including STEP, EXP, TXDSG, and other elements to complete this system. We are also making great progress on the Harpoon and it went into internal testing today. And News Updates https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3957228&postcount=202 The Hornet team has their nose to the grindstone working on the Litening targeting pod, the AGM-84D Harpoon anti-ship missile Bearing-Only Launch (BOL) to start, INS and GPS navigation and alignment, and Track While Scan (TWS) radar mode. surelly AGM-84D (Block 1C) Harpoon = HPD Edited July 1, 2019 by Silver_Dragon For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
Mule Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Does anyone know how the Hornet deploys the Harpoon? In a PC Naval simulation game that is rather risky and takes place on waters (can't mention the name forum rules or something) you have options for direction of attack and other parameters. I don't think it will be the same but it would be interesting to know? Fighter Pilot Podcast.

If I recall correctly (from another unmentionable sim), you can choose between SKIM and POP up for the terminal part of it's flight, and you can cycle the overall flight path between HIGH, MED, and LOW. For both employment modes (Range/Bearing and Bearing Only) you need to know the bearing, I'm not sure but my guess would be that you can somehow set this up in the air. For R/BL you probably need A/G radar or some other way of getting the range of your sea target. Check out my skins and mods on the User Files.

Such an interesting weapon. Fighter Pilot Podcast.

The RB15 more or less can do that sort of thing (off axis, or multiple axis attacks via different waypoints) Edited July 2, 2019 by Harlikwin New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. QuiGon Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 You can already see it on the screenshot above. For example, you can set the terminal behaviour by clicking on the TERM button on the left side. As you can see in the options on the lower half of the display the Harpoon has been set to perform a Pop-Up-Maneuver on its terminal flight phase. At least that's how I understand what I see there. Haven't checked any documentation on that. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
