DmitriKozlowsky Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 AV-8B falls through terrain into infinite ocean , upon start-up in Vazianni. Either on startup of engine, or when aircraft starts rolling. This also happens to some unofficial mod aircraft.
flyco Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 Always happens with me, when I start a mission with the P-51, and often with other prop ac. I did send in a track, as requested when I initially reported it, but heard nothing more. At least it was easy to get a good track, since it always happens immediately I press START to begin the mission.
Shimmergloom667 Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 If you guys have the A-4 mod: try removing it and repairing DCS. It seems to be the main culprit in "falling through the ground" right now. i7 - 9700K | 32 GB DDR4 3200 | RTX 2080 | VKB Gunfighter Mk II /w MCG Pro | Virpil T-50CM2 Throttle | TrackIR 5 | VKB Mk. DmitriKozlowsky Posted August 28, 2019 Author Posted August 28, 2019 Any clue as to how a mod can have such global consequences in DCS ?
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 28, 2019 ED Team Posted August 28, 2019 If you are using unofficial mods it is good advice to remove them and run a cleanup and repair before doing an update, this will reduce potential side effects. joey45 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Any clue as to how a mod can have such global consequences in DCS ? Anything is possible in DCS.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. DmitriKozlowsky Posted September 1, 2019 Author Posted September 1, 2019 How does one run clean and repair on DCS? I ran it. After removing A-4E mod. But no difference. At times aircraft fall through ground, and I picked a new weirdness. A taxiing aircraft runs into an invisible wall object and exploded.
