moving SOI from 1 DDI to another...

It's not so simple; therefore I use this little matrix to understand what the Sensor Control switch does in different modes:

attachment.php?attachmentid=218061&stc=1&d=1569829156

Please ignore my joystick bindings. They are for the CMS on my TM WH grip in a VIRPIL base.

That is better than 1000 words. Thank you!

Indeed is nice - and depending on what screen you have displayed on the AMPCD, aft will move the TDC cursor to it (SA page / FLIR) in A/G and NAV.

Cheers,

Don

In A/G and NAV mode, SCS Aft goes to MPCD.

Just discovered something good...if you select SA page for the MPCD there is a Map option [button 11 I think] that allows the SA page to function over the Map. Also SCS aft will now work making the MPCD SOI when you are configured as mentioned.

This is great for those like me who like having the MPCD map open.

Oh man, didn't know that was an unknown for you.... Works well if you turn the brightness down a bit too (at least for VR) - makes it more clear for me personally - and is the setup that I use. Hence the emphasis on the SCS aft discussion for me.

Cheers,

Don

According to this table I should get out of ACM by SCS-right. But I can't. What did I miss?

I turn A/A off to get out of ACM...didn't know SCS at present state can do that.

Yes because I fly VR I do dim the MPCD a bit for better contrast.

a simple TDC-depress does the job, too. but on my system SCS-right doesn't.

EDIT: leaving ACM by TDC-deprss doesn't work with WACQ though. So you first have to boresight or vertical aquisition. Oh, man.... here they are again: the 1000 words

ACM(boresight/VS/wacq) can be canceled by pressing undesignate/NWS button, to cancel the AACQ mode you have to press the SCS AFT button.

yeah, thanks. I never had a problem with exiting AACQ, I just found that the table obove doesn't seem right in this point (ACM -> RTS), at least here on my system.

but thanks for the "undesignate/NWS button" thing. I just checked it and it works in all ACM modes, unlike the TDC-depress.

I need to review this one. What I put there is based on old information. The Early Access guide says with respect to SCS Right:

Assigns TDC priority to the RDDI. If TDC priority is already assigned to the RDDI and RDDI is radar display, commands radar to track mode STT when TDC is over a radar return. If TGP FLIR is displayed on the LDDI, it will command a track in either A/A or A/G.

Thanks. No problem. Still find a table better than text. It is easier to update those if outdated, too.

There are quite a few things stated in the SCS section of the EA manual that are not working yet.

I think your matrix is OK apart from the right in ACM mode (which doesn't do anything AFAICS), and the missing value in aft in A/G which should be TDC to MPCD.

The switch to area/point track in the TGP with left or right SCS (depending on which DDI it is on) also currently works.
