On 5 February 1952, a Spitfire 19 of No. 81 Squadron RAF based in Hong Kong reached probably the highest altitude ever achieved by a Spitfire. The pilot, Flight Lieutenant Ted Powles,[86] was on a routine flight to survey outside-air temperature and report on other meteorological conditions at various altitudes in preparation for a proposed new air service through the area. He climbed to 50,000 ft (15,240 m) indicated altitude, with a true altitude of 51,550 ft (15,712 m). The cabin pressure fell below a safe level and, in trying to reduce altitude, he entered an uncontrollable dive which shook the aircraft violently. He eventually regained control somewhere below 3,000 ft (900 m) and landed safely with no discernible damage to his aircraft. Evaluation of the recorded flight data suggested that, in the dive, he achieved a speed of 690 mph (1,110 km/h, Mach 0.94), which would have been the highest speed ever reached by a propeller-driven aircraft, but it has been speculated this figure resulted from inherent instrument errors.

They have most of it there already.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Isn't that the Su-39 airframe at 1:33, HUD videos are taken in Su-25SM if I'm not mistaken so does this mean that Su-25SM externally looks like Su-25T?!

I always thought SM was a modernized Su-25 vanilla!

Now i don't know how you see the world, but to me it looks like the Su-25T, the tail fin is larger and the area behind the cockpit goes up a little, IMO

Yeah, exactly it looks like the Su-25T (-39) but I thought Su-25SM is based on Su-25!

This Mi-26 T emergency-landed on August 11th in Eggenfelden, Germany on it's way from northern Italy to Warszawa.

One engine failed and the 50-tons helicopter landed safe with only one engine running.

New engine on it's way to Eggenfelden to replace the damaged one.

The Mi-26 is an attraction because it consumes almost all apron space on the little airfield.

Probably just video from somewhere else edited in by people who don't know the difference.

When he is doing the interview at the end the airframe behind him looks like a Su-25 & when they are closing the door at 3.37

Yeah, that's exactly as I thought although there's the possibility of both airframes upgraded to a SM level. Same happened with Fulcrum C, most of them use 9.13 airframe (hunchback) although some Fulcrum C suites are fitted into a 9.12 too (Malaysian birds).
