flameoutme Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Is there a way to arrange the order of the various airplane and add-on buttons at the bottom of the dcs home screen? I want to put my owned planes together and make my life a bit more joyful when I load DCS up. Right now, its just a mess and sends bad vibes every time I load it up. I know its a small thing, and I can live with it, but if there was a way to manage that I'd be delighted.
Mean Old Man Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 This would indeed be very nice. Let users decide which buttons to display and which not, because - let's face it - there will be more planes and maps and what not. And for planes and maps one doesn't own, there could be a catch-all-button "More great planes and maps from ED".
Rudel_chw Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Dont know how to reorder the icons, but you can hide those that you dont own: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3031088&postcount=19 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
spiddx Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Agreed, would be a nice feature. It really triggers my OCD that Nevada is all the way up front when all the other modules are sorted alphabetically. :pilotfly: Wouldn't get rid of the not owned modules though. Specs: i9 10900K @ 5.1 GHz, EVGA GTX 1080Ti, MSI Z490 MEG Godlike, 32GB DDR4 @ 3600, Win 10, Samsung S34E790C, Vive, TIR5, 10cm extended Warthog on WarBRD, Crosswinds

You can guess but for example the FW-109 A-8, FW109A-8, Fw 109 A-8, etc, all won't hide it. I'm sure this goes for more planes. How to know which one is the exact name? :)

It's not as bad as wanting to push that cover down in the F-14's back seat... and it's called CDO

How to know which one is the exact name? :) Yes, you do need the name ... the correct name is on the Self_ID variable of the Entry.lua file of each Module, like this: But of course you cant examine the entry.lua if you dont have the Module :) However, on this post there is a pretty complete list: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3303357&postcount=5 ... and these are the name of newer aircrafts: AV-8B N/A by RAZBAM Sims Christen Eagle II by Magnitude 3 LLC F-14B by Heatblur Simulations F-16C bl.50 F/A-18C I-16 by OctopusG MiG-19P by RAZBAM I dont have neither the Yak-52 nor the Fw-190A8 .. perhaps an owner can take a look at their entry.lua and tells us? Best regards Thanks mate! Have everything removed except for Normandy and FW 190 A-8, I can't seem to find (or guess ;) ) the exact names for those two. Everything else with your help and/or guessed right. Again, thanks.
Rudel_chw Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Thanks mate! Have everything removed except for Normandy and FW 190 A-8, I can't seem to find (or guess ;) ) the exact names for those two. For Normandy, its simply "Normandy" ... however, dont add it to the list if you Own this Map or else you wont be able to load Missions that use it .. I once removed all the Maps because I wanted just the aircraft Icons, was a big big mistake :D For the 190A8 we will need an owner to step up and show us what is its entry.lua file :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

Although I used Normandy by Ugra Media / Normandy 1944 by Ugra Media / Normady Map by Ugra Media / Normandy 1944 Map by Ugra Media / Normandy by Ugra. Ah well, I guess it's not that big of a deal anyway. None of those did work. And don't worry, I don't own Normandy. :)
Rudel_chw Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Hmm, tried that but didn't work. Strange, I just tried it ... this is before: ... and after: This is my PluginsEnabled.lua file: Give it another try :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
dawgie79 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 (edited) Ah I already see. I've not tried just "Normandy". Now it works. Thanks again, much appreciated Rudel! :) Just hope now someone will leave a post with the exact name for the FW 190 A-8. Edited October 10, 2019 by dawgie79
