Schnarre Aggro
Situation: since the last update i cant get the paddleswitch to neither disengage the autopilot nor to override the G-limiter. Question: Does anyone else have this problem ? Schnarre Aggro
Soooo .... i think i need to clarify. getting a little cocky here - please dont take it personally. I probably have around 20-30 hours in the DCS Module "assigning buttons and setting up controls" ... i started DCS when it was Blachshark only and we had to do our controls new after every update. that said ... What i tried: I pressed "button 4" (pinky lever on the Warthog stick) and nothing worked. I checked controls - it was assigned I switched to a different control (like another button) and then pressed "Button 4" which brought me back to the "AP disengage / Glimiter bla bla" I thought - ok ... maybe some systems changed and i set up my plane "wrong", which wasnt the case. I then assined a key (namely "x") to the funktion "AP disengage..." - It worked. I thought - ok ... maybe there is a hardwareproblem with my Warthog. I then checked my Hardwaresettings under windows - evry button (including Button4) worked. I calibrated it and checked DCS again. In the "controls" the "button 4" is recognised - but not in the Fa18 ingame cockpit. I repaired DCS. I tried again - no difference. I read up on some post i found on the www ... I checked all my auxiliary programs like Discord, SRS, Ts3 etc etc with which i maybe have "Button 4" mapped to some function - clear I updated my warthog firmware I checked again - still same Problem the "button4" is recognised in the controls, i can assign it to a function by pressing it, works under windows, BUT NOT in the actual ingame cockpit so ... now that u guys know ... im up for further suggestions ;) (In the meantime i use a different button as a workaround which doesnt make me very happy) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] There are two types of fighter pilots - those who have, and those who will execute a magnificent break turn towards a bug on the canopy . . . . http://www.youtube.com/user/schnarrsonvomdach http://www.twitch.tv/schnarre https://www.facebook.com/pages/Schnarre-Schnarrson/876084505743788?fref=ts
Schnarre Aggro
oh, i forgot ... i tried as well to clear the whole Joystick category and remaped every button - no difference [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] There are two types of fighter pilots - those who have, and those who will execute a magnificent break turn towards a bug on the canopy . . . . http://www.youtube.com/user/schnarrsonvomdach http://www.twitch.tv/schnarre https://www.facebook.com/pages/Schnarre-Schnarrson/876084505743788?fref=ts
Rudel_chw
I recently had a similar problem, turned out that it was a Mod that enlarged the messages font size ... the Mod was an edit of a DCS file and it worked fine, but a recent DCS update changed that file considerably and thus when I applied the Mod, was in fact putting an obsolete file back into DCS. So, make sure to repeat your test but with all Mods disabled. ravenzino
I found that the mapping in UI Layer takes higher priority. Might worth have a look there. i9-9900K, G.Skill 3200 32GB RAM, AORUS Z390 Pro Wifi, Gigabyte Windforce RTX 2080 Ti, Samsung 960 Pro NVMe 512G + 860 Pro 1T, TM Warthog HOTAS, VKB T-Rudder, Samsung O+ F/A-18C, F-16C, A-10C, UH-1, AV-8B, F-14, JF-17, FC3, SA342 Gazelle, L-39, KA-50, CEII, Supercarrier Preordered. PitbullVicious
There's a category called "UI Layer" in the drop down menu when you are in the key binding screen. Same drop down menu where you select the module for which you are doing key bindings for. The UI Layer category contains mostly VR related things, such as zooms and mouse click emulation. This take precedence over your module key bindings, which might be the problem. i9-9900K @ 5.1GHz | MSI Ventus 3X OC RTX3090 24GB | 64GB 3200MHz DDR4 | Asus ROG Strix Z390-E | Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 Sound Card | Virpil T50CM2 base w/ F/A-18C / A-10C / Virpil T50CM2 Grip | WinWing Super Taurus Throttle | MFG pedals | TekCreations Hornet UFC, Landing Panel, Right Console | WinWing Hornet Combat Ready Panel | Buddy Fox UFC | Foxx Mount | 3 x TM Cougar MFD | HP Reverb G2 | Wacom Intuos S (with VRK) | Honeycomb Alpha Yoke | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | CH Fighter Stick Pro & Throttle | MS Sidewinder 2 FFB | Track IR 5 | Oculus Rift CV1 善く戦う者は、まず勝つべからざるを為して、以て敵の勝つべきを待つ。
