I tried the F/A-18 at Oshkosh, and even then it was better than any other payware aircraft. The HUD really looks great. Acceleration doesn't come out until tomorrow though, unless someone knows where to get it today...

The service pack (SP1) helps A LOT. And Acceleration does include SP2. FSX runs really well for me on my four year old system. It just doesn't look like it does on the back of the box, but it is still better than FS9.

I've been running FSX for quite some time on my machine with no problems. Looking forward to the new expansion.

FSX runs as smooth as silk on my system... I did install the service pack and Vista, which enabled me to push the sliders to maximum .. ... If someone is having issues running this on a high end system then I think that they're not doing something quite right...

Don't forget to install Vista ... If you don't do this you wont get optimum results...

Are you referring to DX10 when you say don't forget Vista. I am running Xp sp2. Is there a problem. If so could you please explain as I am about to purchase FSX deluxe and Accelerator with the F18. Would appreciate any infor on problems I may run into. Thanks Blaze.:(

As far as i know, FSX still doen´t have DX10!

That's right. If FSX runs better on Vista than XP after installing the Service pack is due to manipulations and tricks MS pulls off to force us to use Vista.

My rig specs:

Intel Core i7 4770 @3.4Ghz // Corsair 16GB DDR3 // MoBo Asus Z87K // HDD 1TB 7200RPM // eVGA Nvidia GTX 760GT 2GB DDR5 // LG 3D 47" 1920x1080 // Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS // Saitek Combat Pro Pedals // Thrustmaster MFD Cougar pack // PS3 Eye + FTNOIR

Man I run under DX9 with out a glich and High frames rate .. they got you like a newb!

If you have only the latest DX9 and DX10 Acceleration will run,...

So now for you guys that want Acceleration which imo is the best addon for FSX and the cheapest as well you have DX9 cards no probs..

And btw the answer from Leekhita is a pack of booboo

Ok PigPen lets stop the BooBoo word because you may not underdtand my poor english as well since i'm not a native speaker.

So now when you did load Acceleration you did erase all your FSX folder in your \Application Data\Microsoft\FSX first right ? Accel will create a new one with new parameters.. did you do this ? if not do it again and see what that can give you start at the basic

Posted

No do it again it's important it's also a base of the Sp2.

Reload all FSX and Accel on top but after installing FSX erase the files as i said above. then install Accel, This will give you a better start.

Ok! Anyone fixed fa18 gear position finally? Ive got some here but front tire is sinking. If you'll try to fix it some problems with cat off may happen. No clue what to do...

Now if you desire to fly a F18 with a more realistic performance in power get this file

The F18 original from FSX is way wrong in boost . ( probably what they want you to beleive or maybe they confused knots and kph ;) )

Anyway here the good height and more realistic power but didn't want to do to much .

http://www.gozr.net/iocl/images/files/fsxbeta/aircraft.zip

Back up your /F18/aircraft.cfg first and overwrite

I'll try it. Thanks a lot :)
