S. Low Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 So this would be considered a bug yeah? Has anyone posted it in bugs forum yet?
Knock-Knock Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Im not trying to start a debate or arguing right or wrong, Im just very curious about what is wrong with the Heatblur AIM-7's? Cause I hit plenty with them. Su-27, MiG-29, F-5E, MiG-21, F-4E, F-14A, Tu-95, Su-24, Su-34 you name it. All AI, and a mix of online (coop)/offline. Id say I launch in PLM, 9 out of 10 times though, dont know if that makes any difference? But its all aspects, and fighters are always maneuvering hard (various skill levels). - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
*Aquila* Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Im just very curious about what is wrong with the Heatblur AIM-7's? Cause I hit plenty with them. It behaves differently (guidance, speed) than ED's one and it's supposed to be the same. Tests ongoing with a big sample right now.

Tyrant07 Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 I stopped taking Sparrows along time ago. I opt for extra AIM-9 or just slap a Phoenix on there. I'll take them again once they get improved
QuiGon Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 I stopped taking Sparrows along time ago. I opt for extra AIM-9 or just slap a Phoenix on there. I'll take them again once they get improved I still depend on the Sparrow, especially to intercept Space Mirages head on, on servers where the Phoenix isn't available (e.g. Blue Flag Caucasus). No chance to accomplish that with AIM-9s. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Just realized I had the terms remembered wrong. Its not PLM, but PAL I use (the 4-bar scan pattern). - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |

I also fly on Blue Flag Caucasus a lot. :smilewink: Works pretty well for me actually  It is in fact, the only way to counter those Mirages that I found to be working reliably (in a non-fox3 environment). Belphe Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 So does "Updated to latest AIM-7M" in today's patch notes mean HB AIM-7 is now identical to ED AIM-7s? Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
QuiGon Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 So does "Updated to latest AIM-7M" in today's patch notes mean HB AIM-7 is now identical to ED AIM-7s? Should be, yes. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
IronMike Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 So does "Updated to latest AIM-7M" in today's patch notes mean HB AIM-7 is now identical to ED AIM-7s? Yes, minus the fact that we have to rotate it 45° to hang it in the tunnel, but that is the only change we make.
