I do find that building can take up more time than flying, and sometimes I don't want to fly until "just one more" panel is built. However since my cockpit is loosely based on the SU-25T, I find that "immersion" is reduced with flying other planes since the switches aren't in the same places. Land gear lever is always in the same place, so that gets used a lot. I'm thinking about dismantling the cockpit because it takes up a bit of floor space (3' x 5') and making desktop clamp-on boxes with a limited number of switches.

I have the Warthog stick and CH pedals I could use, but one of the reasons I'm building is the top of the stick (on my desk) is the same height as my shoulder, and the ergos are abominable. My desk isn't suited to using a mount, so I was cornered into a build. The good news is I'm just a couple weeks from done, particularly with all the holidays (in the US) coming up. The bad news is there's a lot of painting to do, and the temps are hovering around freezing for the next week at least.

Marcq Posted November 26, 2019 Author Posted November 26, 2019 I for one will work on my project for weeks without flying then take a break when I hit a snag or get bored and start flying again for a couple weeks, last time I flew is when we had the Autumn sale and I bought the Hornet, flew it a couple weeks and now I'm back at building I think I'm more of a fabricator then a flyer Marc..
