Thanks MegOhm I have seen that chart but it doesn’t cover the signals during catapult hook up and launch.

Looking at the videos you see signals for wing unfold (often during catapult alignment taxi), nose bar lower, taking tension when the holdback is fitted, an engine throttle up signal from the shooter followed by a raised hand when the pilot salutes.

It’s all very choreographed and I’m slowly piecing it together. If no video exists I might have to make one :)

The signals aren't outlined in either the CV NATOPS or the CVN Flight/Hangar Deck NATOPS, but they ARE in the aircraft specific NATOPS (strangely). For the F/A-18C - check Chapter 27 "Deck/Ground Handling signals". PM me for further if you need.

Just remember to add full power then salute, otherwise it tends to end...badly.
