AWACS are silent

Hello,

 

I have placed A50 for red side at 12000m and E-3 for blue side at 9000m

 

Problem is that they don't talk or give anything about enemy fighters. They remain silent.

 

How can I make them talking? What am I doing wrong?

They should automatically. I would check your game settings after setting the enemy fighters a tad closer to the AWACS to make sure they are detecting the boogies.

You can add ground based EWRs that will datalink you the enemy positions.

well generally you would need be on your own soil if you want to have an EWR. Since US never fights a war over their own soil I don't think they need one :noexpression: ...or two :smilewink:... or three :music_whistling: Serisouly though, I don't have a clue if they do or don't have them, but I think there's gotta be some EWR's in other NATO countries

distance and relief (mountins etc)... — same 2 EWR (but +ALT; low alt target (1–3 meters) will be detected from ±30 km)

and remember that F15 and Mig29A have no data link.

There isn't one. As modeled in the sim, the two EWR units (1L13 and 55G6) provide their own GCI in the form of a data link.

Make sure your AWACS planes are tasked with AWACS in mission editor. look at the TASK drop down list in waypoint editor and select aWACS.
