RED Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 With LTWS enabled radar changes L&S while in manual acquisition instead of returning to search when "undesignate" button is pressed. (might be due to the possibility to change L&S in LTWS).RadarUndesignateWhileManualSTTCommandLTWS.trk
QuiGon Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 I can confirm this, as I just ran into this issue as well. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Harker Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 In STT? If you're not in STT, you should use RESET to get rid of the L&S, not NWS/Undesignate. No, in manual acquisition raster when TDC is depressed and it doesn't find the target right away. Undesignate should return to search instead of stepping the L&S.

ED Team NineLine Posted January 9, 2020 ED Team Posted January 9, 2020 Hello all, the team feels this is correct as is, please cite a source either here or via PMs please if you have some proof on this. Thanks. From Team: Pressing undesignate button should provide the next L&S switching logic In STT mode undesignate button activation should exit STT and assign STT target as L&S target In LTWS or TWS modes if no L&S target exist undesignate button activation should assign the highest priority track file as L&S target In LTWS or TWS modes if L&S target exist and no DT2 target exist undesignate quick button activations (less than 4 seconds between activations) should step through all 8 high priority tracks If conditions from item 3 are met, but more than 4 second elapsed from last button activation, new button activation should assign the highest priority track as L&S In LTWS or TWS modes if both L&S and DT2 targets are exist undesignate button activation should swap designations between them (this works now) Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
kengou Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Can I ask how you would completely undesignate all L&S in LTWS? Is it only reset that does it? I'm sure that before TWS was added, undesignate used to just undesignate the target totally and return to search, and I don't recall an announcement about this change in behavior. But if it's accurate, then great. You can trigger this mini acquisition raster by depressing the TDC over empty space. The radar also automatically performs this if it doesn't find the target when you attempt to STT over a HAFU. Perhaps inquire the team about this. To clarify, what we're saying is that since the TWS update, we can no longer cancel this mini raster and we have to let the radar perform it for a few seconds which makes the radar unusable until it's done (ie the undesignate L&S functionality takes priority over canceling the mini raster).
