Hi there, any ETA for new toys or at least one of them? :)

 

F16 is great but really need some weapons and I can live with the bugs a little longer :smilewink:

These threads always make me grin a little. Do you really expect a serious answer to this from ED? I mean, sure, you can always ask, but I can already tell you they wont give you an ETA (unless this time for whatever reason they do, Murphy's Law). They will probably say something in the direction of; ''We are working on them and will share news when we have some''.

Sure they will not post info about specific date 15 september 9:27 but lets say Q1 or Q4 is a valuable info.

Or for example "this is our next priority" is also valuable because there will be interesting updates instead of next 10 patches with INS fixes or something like that.

Also it is valuable that they can see what is important for us.

 

But of course you are also right, in most cases they will answer just like in your examples :smilewink:

We are only few months after EA release and mini update thread was not updated for over a month.

 

I have checked F/A-18 thread and it was updating much longer on weekly or even daily basis.

For a long time (F/A-18 ) updates were very frequent and valuable, there were infos about next priorities, what the team is working for (not only what is already done) etc.

 

Almost everything what Im asking for in this thread so why the F16 thread was abandoned so quickly?

If so, then that’s about as accurate as you’ll get or ED should commit to.

Please calm down, the F-16 hasn't been abandoned. ED has taken time off from development over the holiday period. This happens EVERY YEAR. The EU/US staff are away for the normal Christmas break and then in Russia a lot of January is taken up with national holidays as well. Things will get back on track. Give them a chance, jeez.

They did indeed, so we can expect additional weapons rather sooner than later, which makes these kind of "are we there yet?" threads a bit unnecessary...

We have had the Christmas / new years break which the team are back from and working hard.

 

As mentioned in the news letter our goal is to get the hornet and the viper feature complete in 2020, when we have news about updates and work done we will pass it on, that may not be to a schedule you like, but we are doing what is possible.

Im calm, just asking. Of course F16 hasnt been abandoned, just the F16 mini-update thread.

 

I just checked F/A-18 thread and it was great, e.g. in 2017/2018 christmas there was 8 updates when now for corresponding time for F16 is 0.

I love DCS and supporting them with my money, no complains, just a little more updates would be great :)
