VapoR Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 There is a new 1.1 video on lockon.ru. I can't get this one to play though. Windows Media Player gives me an error every time I try. I have the latest divx codecs. I tried to play it in the divx player itself, but it will only play the first 5 seconds or so before it stops. Anyone else having problems with this one?

I think lockon is low on immersion only in respect with its STATIC kind of sound engine. :? :( but the action is amazing.! It even looks like we might even be able to crash land in a field but it was a little hard to tell from the video.... Caretaker Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 I can - it is. With the Su-25 and Su-25T you can try to land anywhere in Lock On, including fields. You will notice the different surface characteristics between some crops and a nice concrete runway however ;) Caretaker ED Beta Test Team

The unability to crash land was one of the features that I felt was missing when I first started flying in Flanker and I felt gave limitations to immersion...... This is one more piece of really good news....... Caretaker Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 It's great indeed, and I feel (without having ditched a fighter plane onto a field in real life so far) that it also has the right amount of realism, i.e. you can do it, but you better be careful and look out for the right spot to land. It is however limited to the physics model of the Su-25 and Su-25T indeed. The other planes can now be taxied over grass fields as well without instantly sinking in, but still not land on fields.
