In 2.56 the sun rises about 20 to 25 minutes earlier than in 2.55.

Did a passing planet hit the earth and I missed it?

It was announcned. They adjusted sunrise and sunset times to match real life data on any given day. Even moon cycles. Problem is that it heavily affects ALL missions with not that much added value IMO.

 

The added value is that this becomes one less time waster when building a mission.

It adds value because you can look up the lunar, solar patterns online and set the time and date and you get what you should get. The alternative is guessing and being confused. Which isn't fun.

I'm sure it should have been corrected some time back, but better late than never.
