Frederf Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 I think that's the freeze command although I can't remember if freeze sets north-up or just whatever orientation the HSD was freeze was selected. In any case freeze for radar or HSD isn't implemented yet.
Bouli306 Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Per the title... Why you want to do this? Freeze will not do this either. It is not a function IRL.

Easier to maintain SA with an anchored map than have it constantly rotating with every turn. Guess you’ve never tried the EXP mode on the A-10C TAD? Frederf Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 True, both of those pictures are showing central (opposed to depressed) display normal HSD. In freeze your ownship becomes a symbol which flies off around the the display. If FZ was selected it would be highlighted reverse video. OK, looked it up. When FZ selected the orientation at time of mode entry is retained. So no, there is no north up HSD mode. 1
Bravo One Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 then put the 4 lines indicating the N S E W, they would be really helpful 1
Astronaut Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 Forget north up, I just wish the MFDs were half as bright and readable in VR as this. OMG would that be a MASSIVE quality of life improvement. 12900K | MSI Z690 | STRIX RTX3090 | 64GB DDR4 3600MHz | NVMe Storage gen3 | Custom Loop | Valve Index
